Musiclily Basic Pre-wired Loaded Standard ST-HSS Pickguard Set 3Ply Black

For the price, I wasn’t expecting it to be too amzong, but at least usable with the potential to change out the pickups later if needed.. It’s much nicer than I expected. Wiring looks great, pick ups sound good, especially the humbucker. And they are all quiet other then the expected 60 cycle hum for the singles coils which is still relatively quiet. The pick guard, knobs , and hardware all are good. Didn’t quite fit perfectly on my early 2008 Squier Bullet Strat. So I had to drill two new holes and three or four others were a little off but I made it work. I would purchase again without hesitation.

This is the first "budget knockoff" pickguard that fits! ALL ELEVEN SCREWS matched the standard Fender/Squier hole positions - I didn't have to move ANY factory holes. They all matched - I have it on a standard MIC Squier SE Strat. I did have to shape the neck heel area, as it hung over too far to put the neck on. This was no big deal, and took a minute with a Dremel. Pots are small import size, but work very smoothly, and are silent. Bottom tone is on the middle pickup like stock Strat wiring, and I will move it to the bridge. Switch is the PCB import style, but is quiet and works well so far. Pickups are decent, with the high point being the bridge humbucker, which is nice and fat. The single coils do the Strat thing and are good, but are nothing super special and won't be confused for brand name aftermarket or USA Fender pickups...but for the price? Great!

much better than the cheapo stuff that came on my cheapo guitar. The single coils are fantastic, the Humbucker is just OK. Overall, pretty good, exceptional for the price.

Have a Mexican Strat and was looking to swap pickup. This fit perfectly with no trimming needed for mine. Just need to solder up the jack plug and additional ground. Works good and sounds better than expected for the price. Didn’t even take off strings to do it. Loosened them, was able to slide out old pick guard. I did copper wrap the inside cavities, then put in the new guard. Works great, looks great, sounds great all for under $50.

I was not aware that this was coming with mini potentiometers. I have ordered two other sets from them before that were for different projects, but this was cheaper, now I know why.

So My Ist ever remake and it took me about 2 weeks i was planning on using ole face plate and HSS this thing had been hanging on my wall for years!! BUT ole HHS had dried,fried so off 2 Amazon I came and carefully researched “2” days before I purchased this ONE!! I was planning on losing plate but decided to use the whole unit and I didn’t expect this baby to rise from the depths of anything!! 2 Freaking Judas Priest “Breaking The Law” sound is crunchy HSSfiddled Tinkered and neck and mid have that crisp mellow clear sound !!wiring was straight forward and once I soldered and put new Elixir nanoweb 9/42 let’s stretch for about a half hour fired up the 5150 and played for 1 hr straight absolutely loving sound,feel of Franken…ok enough BUY this unit comes ready 2 rock ya definitely will enjoy it!!

I got this to install on a cheap old strat-style guitar that I’ve had for years. I was very impressed with the quality and care of the wiring and soldering on the pickups. I just soldered this in to the existing input on my guitar and it was ready to go. The single coils give you the classic “strat” tone, and the humbucker is way hotter than I expected. It has similar output to a duncan distortion. I am consistently surprised with how versatile this is. Play shine on you crazy diamond on the neck pu then switch to the bridge to play war pigs. For the price you can’t beat it. Overall this is a great option to rejuvenate an old guitar.

Installed this into a 2018 HSS Bullet Strat to replace the dark muddy ceramic stock pickups. The new pots are about the same, but the new 5 way switch feels more positive although it’s an inline one like the original. The middle pickup is RWRP which means it was easy to auto split the humbucker. The yellow wire goes to position one on the switch and the heat shrinked white and red become the split wire. When re-wired the lower humbucker coil is put with the middle pickup and noise cancels in position 2. Position 1 is full bucker. Auto split halves the pickup in position 2 making a better balance when compared to other positions. Also gives some quack back. I also put the middle pickup tone control to the humbucker. It’s essentially wired like a Player Series HSS now. Given the price of this kit and the Squire Bullet this is a no brainer. My 11 holes lined up perfect - no filling or drilling. Sounds 100% better than stock. Pole spacing is perfect too.

Product came in a slightly loose packaging, perhaps as the lower price package. Lesser accessories. Looked lower grade as compared to the higher price product from the same brand.

自分のストラトタイプ安ギター(Mad Axe)の再生用に購入。元がシングルコイル×３構成だったので、一番後ろの2個並列ピックアップは当然収まらず、ゴリゴリとボディーを電気ドリル+回転ヤスリ（研削ビット）+フライス盤用ドリルで工作。現物合わせをしたところネックの切り欠きも多少私の安ギターとずれがあり、ネック側も1mm程度調整。また、切り替えレバー付近、ボリュームコイル付近もボディの掘りが足りず追加で削った。ピッチ幅は10.5ｍｍで、サウンド自体は値段を考えれば特に不満は無いレベル。ストラトタイプと一口に言っても、ボディを削る必要があったり、ねじ穴の位置が違ったりして簡単交換といかなかった。そういう意味で一体型も善し悪しだなと実感。ただ、これは自分のギターが無調整で使えなかっただけなので、このお値段でガリの来たギターの配線系をワンタッチ交換できるなら非常にお手軽でいい製品だと思う。

J'ai remplacé le pickgard blanc SSS de ma Squier Strat par celui-ci, un HSS noir. Je préfère vraiment ce look, le noir s'harmonise avec le contour de la guitare. Le travail ? 3 soudures et un ajustement de la découpe autour du manche pour que le positionnement des trous coïncident. Comme beaucoup de personnes (peut-être...) j'ai découvert la guitare pendant le confinement,mon expérience est donc limitée mais la qualité des micros ne semble pas inférieure à ceux d'origine et je peux ainsi tester un humbucker.

This was a good upgrade and easy to install. I've been playing with this for a little while now and the noiseless pick ups are working a treat.

I was really quite impressed with the quality of this prewired pickguard and for its cost, I think it’s great value for the money. You wouldn’t want to install this on an actual Fender Strat, but great for a Strat copy. Certainly better than the pickup unit that failed. It does have a unique sound and I actually quite like the sound it produces. All pots and volume and tone dials work fine. The Humbucker pickup is heavy on the gain, which sounds great.
