We now only buy flour that is clearly labeled glyphosate-free, and this Jovial Organic Einkorn Flour delivers. The bag proudly states it is certified Glyphosate Residue Free, which gives us real peace of mind. Glyphosate (the active ingredient in Roundup) has been linked to health concerns, so we’re extra careful — especially since my father has Parkinson’s related to his time at Camp Lejeune. My dad loves carbs, but I noticed he would get bad stomach pains after eating regular pasta, pizza, or bread. Since switching to this flour, things have improved dramatically. For Father’s Day I made homemade Irish Soda Bread with it, and he said it was the best one I’ve ever made — with zero stomach issues afterward. The flavor and texture were fantastic. I’m now seeking more Italian-made products (where glyphosate use is heavily restricted) and will definitely be stocking up on this einkorn flour for holiday baking this Christmas and beyond. This flour definitely gave my Irish Soda bread a better flavor for sure. This flour is delicious. Still makes light fluffy cakes and muffins. Would order again.

I was hoping this flour would be similar to that of Germany or Italy where the bread doesn’t affect my husband’s blood sugars but it does. When my husband is in Germany, it’s like he doesn’t have diabetes. This flour works for me though with gut issues which is nice. It has a natural sweetness. You need to find recipes for this type of flour, it’s not the same as store-bought.
