FOXPROOF!
Had to jettison my old plastic watering can when foxes chewed through the nozzle... this is great, not heavy and looks traditional. I don't anticipate any more trouble with foxes either.

Great value for money. V well made galvanised watering can.
Love it. Seems to be v strong and as our last galvanised watering can lasted 20 years...hoping this one will too! Nice sprinkler, can not too heavy when full. Really pleased with it and paid a v decent price.

Good Traditional Watering Can
The Draper 53234 Galvanised Watering can is actually a generic item identical to those sold under several other brand names, but I bought it from Draper because of the backup in case of any problems. The 2G embossed on the top cover refers to Two Gallons Imperial, which is about 9.1 litres. The shape of the can, position of the filling aperture, and 27cm height of the rim are all exactly right to sit it conveniently under the 31cm high tap of our rainwater butts. It is also easy to carry without spillage. The brass-fronted threaded rose tightens against a resilient washer to prevent leaks, and has a useful rate of flow with good cover. The Draper can’s galvanised steel measured at 29 gauge (17.2 thousandths of an inch or 0.44mm thick) overall. This is only about 2/3 as thick as my current ancient watering can, measured at 24 gauge (27.6 thou or 0.7mm), which was already very old fifty years ago when it came with this house. If the Draper can lasts the next ten to fifteen years I’ll be happy. The Draper spout seams are not properly galvanised inside, and also have a rust trap where it joins the body of the can because the bottom of the aperture into the body is higher than the lowest point of the spout stuck on the outside. So I’ve protected it with some black Hammerite sprayed inside the base of the spout and carefully allowed to run over all the seams as far as the rose. The old can got this right by fitting the spout from the inside of the can. The pictures show the obvious differences. We needed more watering cans because we’ve invested in big rainwater butts for soft water and to save on tap-water. It is also better for one’s back to be balanced with a can in each hand when carrying water to where it is needed.

Hydration’s New Heavyweight Champion
I bought this galvanized metal watering can expecting a dainty dribble tool—and instead got a fortress on a spout. It’s built like a tank (albeit a very stylish, vintage-looking tank), with seams as tight as a submarine hatch and a spray head that delivers water like a gentle summer rain instead of a parting-of-the-Red-Sea monsoon. The handle sits comfortably in your hand, balancing the full 2-gallon load so you don’t end up doing accidental bicep curls between flowerbeds. Bottom line: Whether you’re nursing a windowsill succulent or bossing around a jungle of hostas, this can turns watering from a chore into a power move. Your plants will think you’ve installed an irrigation system worthy of royalty—and you’ll never go back to plastic dribble-cans again.

Sturdy Can - stubborn sticker
This watering can brings back memories! It's very similar to the one my grandfather used, and his must have lasted him well over fifty years. While I can't say for sure where this one is made (his was definitely British-made), it seems sturdy enough to perhaps become a family heirloom. The rose head on this can is fantastic - it sprinkles water beautifully and unscrews easily for cleaning. The only real downside is a sticker on the side - they must have used industrial-strength glue because that thing is never coming off! In all seriousness though, it's a minor inconvenience. This is a great watering can, especially for the price. Here's hoping it lasts another lifetime! Capacity wise it's two gallons / 9 litres and stands 27cm tall (excluding the handle).

Galvanised Watering Can.
After years of using cheap plastic watering cans which degrade, it has been delightful to use a genuine and traditional galvanised watering can, these cans have the rose positioned at the correct angle with sufficient drillings to ensure a gentle and even flow. Definitely recommended.

Really well made, great to use, long lasting
Robust, well made. Constant and consistent flow from the rose and a whopping two gallon tank! Should last years, fully galvanised. Far better than plastic alternatives.

Very satisfied
Very nice, but the paper sticker is hard to get off, they should use another type of sticker. Happy with everything else

Bello e robusto
Per questa dimensione è il miglior prezzo che ho trovato online. Esteticamente molto bello e soprattutto robusto. Si impugna bene e con 9 litri riesco ad annaffiare tutte le piante del mio piccolo giardino. Prodotto consigliato 👍👍👍

Make sure the water is particle free as they block the spout
I was using rain water and had to put a kitchen sifter over the intake to filter out foreign particles. Other than that it worked.
