Great TMRs by Aknes
Only bought these because the Gulkit TMRs wouldn’t have arrived in time but now I’m happy I did. These work great, if not better than the Gulkit TMRs! When testing, I got a lower input error percentage vs the Gulkit (average 3% vs Gulkits 3.7%) when using Gamepad Tester - Impressive! I also like the blue body of the joysticks compared to the black found on the Gulkits. If you’ve never used TMRs before, these are much better than the stock ALPS joysticks found from factory as there’s no friction between the potentiometers and the joystick, allowing your controller to be drift free forever! You’ll need good soldering skills to install these without damaging your controller. I recommend grabbing a rework station if you’re a regular or at least a decent soldering iron + variable heat gun and maybe some low melt for easy removal. **Make sure to calibrate them before use as they don’t come working optimally out the box - you’ll need to calibrate stick centre and stick range.** If these could be improved, Aknes should give us something like the KK rings (thumb grips with metal between the grip and the base) found on the Gulkits. From my own testing, I’ve found the metal glides smoother against the DualSense shell vs the plastic used on stock and Aknes grips. These feel more like a fresh OEM controller that never degrades vs knowing you have TMRs installed. Aside from that price difference is about £1-2 so not much between them - both are solid options. Overall 5 stars

Sticks do not Drift any more!
Firstly, these look great quality, and having installed a pair, they work really well, and cured the stick drift I was getting from the original PS5 pad that came with the console. I went for these TMR sticks as they are supposed to be better than the Hall Effect variety, time will tell. The price difference is tiny. Before you buy these, make sure you know what you will be doing. WATCH LOTS OF VIDEOS ON YOUT*BE BEFORE YOU START. I had done some soldering in the past as a hobby, but for this job, I bought a soldering iron tip that is specially made to melt all fourteen soldering points at the same time, which made it very easy to remove the old sticks. Putting the new stick in is tricky if you do not remove the old solder. I used a solder sucker to suck up the old solder after melting with a soldering iron. Once all of the holes are clear, the job to put the new stick in becomes much easier. Soldering it back in and then putting the pad back together, then all you need to do is use the game pad testing website (google it) and then calibrate it (google PS5 stick calibration). Once complete, the pad will be ready for use. The accuracy is improved and you should never get stick drift again. I would suggest that this is a job for an intermediate level hobbyist to do, practice soldering first if you can.

As advertised , they work great
They work great, all as advertised and like the fact that they do not need calibration

Sticks aren't great
Replacements themselves are perfect but the sticks are slightly proud when the controller is reassembled. They rub on the casing and don't recentre themselves. Just means you have to use the old sticks

I simply cannot fault these replacement joysticks
The perfect replacement for a PS5 controller with stick drift. I've previously used both standard ALPS replacement joysticks, which are doomed to suffer with drift again eventually and the cheap Hall Effect sticks with a calibration pcb which can be somewhat of a nightmare to get perfect. Replacement is straightforward for someone with semi-decent soldering skills, the calibration process simply requires any PC with a chromium based browser, go to the calibration site, spin the sticks and you're left with zero drift and fantastic circularity.

Drift free DualSense, love it!
After having tried the black ones, I thought I'd give these a try in a different controller. Using a desoldering tool, I directly swapped out both modules and replaced them with these. Smooth as silk, both installation and use wise. Not for the feint hearted granted, but with a lot of patience and a little learning, these will make gaming sessions definitely last longer.

Well packaged, Working perfect!
First time attempting joystick replacement, items were packaged well. Installed and setup perfectly. Time will tell how long they last but perfect so far.

They are Haunted!
These joysticks are driving me mad! Here is the problem I installed 2 sticks on my dualsense: not as easy as it may sound and I am by no mean a pro but with some skills in electronics. They are really hard to install so be warned! After install, calibrated and both of them were AMAZING!!! literally better than the brand new! the next day I started PS5, the left stick faulty, I tried rebooting, recalibration, resetting to no avail. I left it then retried, I took out the battery after disassembling, removed all ribbons, removed the speaker (magnetic interference) and literally nothing helped! So I decided to embark on another journey of replacing the left stick. Guess what, the second time is even harder as solder points are more vulnerable. Nearly lost the controller! Finally managed and installed another left stick yesterday. It was nearly perfect, played for hours (Lies of P) and nothing wrong with the controller at all. Long and behold I turned it PS5 on and the haunted left stick started again See videos of the last stick I installed. Yet the right one is good! (I can only upload one video) I have not seen a frustrating experience like this before! Please tell me if I am doing anything wrong? Why does it work for one day only? Why the left stick only? I think its just bad luck with 2 sticks and faulty chip in them! I returned them now!

Fantastic sticks. Smooth, precise, drift-proof.
Have installed two pairs of these into two DualSense controllers so far and they're excellent. If I have any notes it's that at first it felt like they had the slightest bit less spring tension on the sticks than stock, less than 5% if I had to guess, and I got used to it within an hour. They feel superb and after calibration (just look up DualShock Calibration GUI, it's an easy-to-use web tool) they feel more precise than the stock sticks during slow, careful aiming in games, and equally capable at quick whip aiming. Will be upgrading the rest of my controllers with these without hesitation.

Brakes the controller
I first started soldering one and testing if it would work and it did, after soldering the other one suddenly my controller stopt working at all. I couldn’t make it to work again with both stick attached to it.

Perfect!
Work perfect! circularity test showed 2.4% error i've never seen that low!

Fonctionne parfaitement
Fonctionne parfaitement sur 2 manettes PS5. Cependant attention, un calibrage de la manette avec ces nouveaux joystiques sera nécessaire via un site internet et connecté en USB sur PC. Je recommande.
