Fantastic deal
Incredible deal. I almost knocked it down a point for the black pickup ring. Matching Gibson standards chrome hardware should have a Cream pickup rings. The black just looks off with the pick guard. I had to order cream pickup rings. That is a minor issue. The frets needed polished and the neck needed a very minor adjustment. It was perfectly playable out of the box. Tuners and knobs all work great. Bridge pickup came in at 8.8 , neck around 8.2. Ceramic pickups actually sound very nice. No real changes needed. I just polished the frets. Adjust the neck one slight tweak, oiled the fretboard and lowered the action a hair. Plays like a dream. Beautiful guitar. I see no cosmetic issues with the finish. Small pots but seem quality and work great. Despite people’s complaints with small pots a quality small pot is fine if the sweep is good and it works well. It’s just a variable resistor after all. I generally prefer a classic alnico humbucker but these actually sound nice.

Well worth it! Incredible for the price.
For the price, it is well worth it. I don't absolutely need another guitar per se, but this guitar has some features I have always wanted, but are difficult and expensive to find. In fact I was considering a doing my own custom build just to get these 3 features in a LP style: 1) Neck through build, 2) contoured access to upper frets, and 3) belly cut like a strat. Additionally, the body is mohagany. The guitar has weight, feels like a guitar, not a cheap toy. Doesn't look like one either. Of course they have to save some money somewhere, so the electronics aren't going to be top notch. Nevermind the fact that the entire guitar costs about the same as -one- Bare Knuckle pickup. Just being usable at this price is crazy, and the fact that it is comfortable and playable strait out of the box? How do they do it? Fret ends are smooth, there is absolutely zero fret sprout, no cracks in the finish along the joints, finish is perfect, and it looks nice too. I only recieved it today, so I can't tell you about tuning stability, that will take a few days, but I think there might be 2 sticky slots on the nut, easy fix. Nut appears to be bone and not cheap plastic so, a shot of lube should fix it 100%. If it was plastic I would prob replace it. The controls are surprisingly useful. Most of the time my guitars have tone control at 0 or 10, but this one is useful for mid-taper. What do I not like? First of all I have to qualify my critique. The guitar is absolutely a great deal and I have no complaints. This guitar is well worth the price. Heres what you get that isn't pro, which you should not be expecting (and won't find) at this price point anyway: The sound is great for jazz/blues/country/soft rock/indie, but for hard rock/metal (ie bridge pickup only) you will need a stompbox to get the edgy-ness you want. Obv you will be using FX anyway right? The toggle switch needed tightening, and personally I don't like the green faux vintage tuner knobs, but that is a purely cosmetic thing, nothing actually wrong with it. The frets are nickel steel. I prefer stainless, but I'm not sure I can find SS frets on a $200 guitar, and even if I did, it wouldn't have the other features this Fesley has. I will do a pro setup on it later, and probably some upgrades. Like I said, it is great out of the box and doesn't need anything, but if I want to upgrade things like pickups, tuners, pots and tone caps, this guitar is a worthy recipient of them. I wouldn't be throwing my money away if I put a set of JB's in it. Bottom line, if someone has complaints about shortcomings of this Fesley for $200, then they should probably not be playing guitar. Personally, I am thinking seriously about buying a second one, and there is a pretty good chance I will do my first guitar review video on this one. Update: I did in fact purchase a second one. Even if I replaced every single component in this guitar, it would still be worth it just for the neck & body. Don't listen to other complaints about hardware. If you want a good playable guitar, this is it. It is good out of the box, and if you upgrade or replace hardware later, you will not be wasting your money. #icanstopbuyingguitarsanytimeIwant. #ijustdontwantto

FLP-900. Neck Feels Good and Stable Tuning, but Beware of the Inlays.
The Fesley FLP 900 required very little setup and felt like a much more expensive guitar right out of the box (except for the pickup selector switch that was damaged in shipping). However the cheap resin filled inlays used by manufacturers to reduce cost was a dealbreaker. THE GOOD > OUT OF THE BOX SETUP: I was impressed that it needed almost no setup. The frets were level, polished, there were no high spots, and I didn't find any sharp "fret sprout" on the edges. NECK AND FINGERBOARD: The neck is on the chunkier side but very comfortable to play. It has a real wood fingerboard, which feels like quality under the fingers compared to the synthetic materials found in many budget guitars like this. TUNING STABILITY: Tuners of course are not premium but better than expected. I let the guitar sit for a week and it was still pretty much in tune when I picked it back up. This says a lot about how well constructed the instrument is. THE NOT SO GOOD AND UNEXPECTED > UPPER FRET ACCESS: If you are buying this primarily for the cutaway access to reach the higher frets, don't bother. The design doesn't actually provide the clearance needed to reach the top frets easily. It's more of a gimmick but it does reduce the weight. (Mine was 7.1 lbs. But every guitar will be different because some pieces of natural wood are denser than others.) The gentle curves make it slightly more comfortable at the higher frets but you still need to contort your hand to reach notes just like on any traditional single cutaway Les Paul. INLAY DURABILITY: After only a couple of hours of playing, the inlays began to show wear only under the high B and E strings where I do a lot of bending and vibrato. (See picture.) Instead of durable hard acrylic plastic that I expected on even the cheapest of guitars, this beautiful instrument has inlays that appear to be a soft poured resin. (Research "problems with resin filled guitar inlays".) ELECTRONICS / SPECS: The pickups have a decent output and sound ok. I measured them with a multimeter: Bridge Pickup: 9.26k ohms Neck Pickup: 8.68k ohms RECOMMENDATIONS > 1. The Fesley FLP-350 has beautiful dot in dot real inlays that you normally see on high end guitars. It's also one lb lighter making it more comfortable. It has the similar curves on the body like the FLP+900 except the neck is bolted on. Real wood purpleheart fretboard feels better the more I play it. However expect to spend a lot of money for setup unless you do it yourself. Other than setup, a lot of care went into making the FLP350. Sounds good too whether it's plugged in or not. 2. You might also try the Grote Les Paul. I don't have one, but I have 3 other Grote guitars that are very well made. Grote says they've been around since 1989. There's also a Grote Facebook page. It's not very popular but members seem to like their instruments. One guy has a blue Grote Les Paul that he raves about. Personally I have too many guitars. I'll wait for a used Epiphone if I find a crazy good deal on one some day. NOTE: The inlays were a dealbreaker. I returned the guitar. I had it for about 3 weeks.

What a surprise!! Outstanding!
Wow.. What a great guitar. I have a stable of over 30 guitars, PRS, Fender, Ibanez, Gibson, Yamaha, Jackson and one other Fesley. The first Fesley was a FLP350, I was happy with it and bought the FLP900. I am totally impressed. I love the neck carves for the upper frets, the belly cut, the pickups sound great for the music I play, TOOL, Perfect Circle, Porcupine Tree... I couldn't be happier. I initially did a setup, adjusted the truss rod to get the neck a little straighter, adjusted the pickup heights a bit, took some green pad to the back of the neck to make it slippery and all good. It stays in tune pretty good, the pegs are smooth, and it looks GREAT! Sunburst with a flawless finish. Yeah it's a little heavy, but what LP isn't? Sustain forever! The strings aren't the worst I played on, maybe some NYXLs soon.. I never thought a inexpensive guitar could be this good. How about a adding a Floyd Rose to a model?? I love a Floyd.. I may get some locking tuners in the future. This is NOT a cheap guitar, just affordable. Very happy!! Well done Fesley!! I'll be back!

In short, this guitar is absolutely awesome!
The bad: The toggle switch nut was not tightened, so I went to tighten it. It seemed to be on crooked, but I realized it was on straight but just very night. I finally got it tightened and it's now fine. Quality control could have easily caught this. It was fixable so no big deal. The great: I have 8 guitars and this one is the most beautiful one I have. The craftsmanship is top notch. I got the gold top one. The back, sides, and neck are a stunning glossed wood. I can't stop staring at it. The pickups are ceramic but have a nice sound. I don't think I'll be upgrading them because there really is no need. The potentiometers are the small ones but the range of the volume and tone knobs is sufficient for me, since I just play at home. If I end up doing gigs or playing in my church or something like that, I'll upgrade the pots. However, if you have a good amp with a volume and a gain knob, you'll do just fine. I had anticipated changing out the tuners because I prefer locking tuners, but it turns out I like the vintage-style look and they are smooth and have kept the strings in tune for about a week now. I think I'll leave them alone. (If it's not broken, don't fix it. Right?) The thickness of the body is perfect for me. The shape of the neck is nice and comfy. For me, this is not a "shred" guitar (I've got a Leo Jaymz Monsoon for that), so for something like the blues, country, rock, or anything really, this guitar is perfect for me. Conclusion: Yeah, it's not a Gibson, but who cares? I'm not paying $1,499 or more for a Gibson Les Paul when I can have a Fesley LP 900. I am so glad I gave this guitar a chance. Paying for a name is not my thing, but paying for quality definitely is. In short, this guitar is absolutely awesome!!! You will not be disappointed with one of these, in my humble opinion.

Good LP type guitar at a good price.
This is generally a really good guitar. I got mine for $250 plus tax. Pros: The guitar is built very well. The fret work was a lot better than most in this price range. Nice dark rosewood fretboard. It is not heavy for a les paul type guitar. It weighs in at 7.8 lbs. It is a very. nice looking instrument. I love the contoured heel-makes it easy to play in the higher registers. Guitar was set up well out of the box. Intonation was perfect. Cons: The tuners could be better. If you install better ones , you will have to drill for the new 10mm bushings. The electronics are standard import. Pickups are ceramic.(good for hard rock). The fretboard inlays are flat white plastic. The poly finish is very thin as they describe.Be careful if you upgrade the tuners. The neck is thick.I would say it's like the 59 neck profile. If you like a thicker neck then this is a plus for you. I went to Guitar Center and looked at some guitars and was not impressed with what I saw.I did not care for the Epiphones either so I tried this one. I put new tuners and new pickups in it and now it's one of my favorite guitars.

Disappointed....
The Fesley flp900 guitar I received was an unusable mess, quality control was non existent, the neck was bowed to the point that the acrylic inserts were lifting out of the fingerboard, one was even cracked! This guitar had multiple sloppy tuners and the toggle switch was defective, after finally getting the switch to move it had very little detent in one direction. I didn't even bother plugging it into an amp. I wasn't expecting much from a $200 dollar guitar but I at least expected it to be a usable practice guitar. I respectfully voiced my concerns via email to Fesley and was completely ignored. I don't understand how there can be so many positive reviews with such an inferior product and terrible customer service. 🤔

Absolutely alAmazing Guitar
I recently purchased a Kramer sm-1 and I can tell you right now though I love my Kramer and it's a great guitar it cost me almost $900 after delivery. it has some quality brand name parts a USA Floyd Rose and high quality DiMarzio pickups. but I can tell you right now for the $198 that I paid for this guitar I am absolutely Blown away the neck is actually straighter than the neck on my Kramer though that was easily adjusted out and the setup was great the finish looks absolutely flawless and the parts are not low quality parts there's no way I would replace the bridge the bridge is high quality there's guys on YouTube taking guitars like this and replacing the bridge and drilling into the guitar when this bridge is completely 100%, I'm telling you for a fact that is 100% Gibson quality I own two Gibson Les Paul's both bought in the last 5 years. the guitar is absolutely amazing the frets may need a little bit of polishing to be perfection but I don't feel any sharp edges on the fret ends. sure I'm going to take my time and take the strings off and add some high quality strings and polish the frets to mirror finish but that's just me and yes I'll be honest the weak spot of this guitar is the tuners so I ordered some high quality locking tuners and that made this guitar absolutely perfect because I absolutely love it. Are the pickups the best in the world? No of course not but this is a great upgrade path you get a great guitar that absolutely plays great and then once you want to actually change your sound and the only reason you really want to change your sound is for recording you can upgrade to some DiMarzio or Gibson or whatever style pickups you want but all the pickups are going to cost more than the guitar itself cost. In the meantime you've got a great guitar that sounds fine in fact I'm sure if you recorded with it it would sound fine actually. We start getting into nuances and things that don't really matter but I'll tell you what this guitar is 100% a blow away I cannot believe that cheap guitars in the '80s and the 90s were actually cheap guitars but less expensive guitars nowadays are not cheap guitars especially from Fesley, they are absolutely amazing!

Killer Guitar for the price.
I bought the burst flp900 Fesley during a prime day deal and the price was killer. More than 1/2 the price of the Gold Top. Showed up quick, well packaged and comes with a nice gig bag and the essentials. The guitar itself, is most excellent for the price. A slight bit of set up was required, but nothing out of the ordinary. The neck feels good and is very playable. The body feels just great, a nice belly cut and the single cut neck joint and curve is fantastic. I've never met a light Lester, and this one is no exception, but has miles of sustain. The vintage look tuners are a nice touch and are not half bad. Frets and nut are nice. The neck inlays are cheap but doesn't effect the playability. Bridge and saddle are solid. Electronics are actually pretty decent considering the price Overall, for the beginner to intermediate this is an exceptional guitar that has it all in a complete package. Also because of the great playable body and neck it is also an excellent platform for the modder looking to build an awesome guitar. 5 outta 5, happy new owner.

Great guitar for the price. One small hiccup
Got this as my second fesley guitar. Will be using it on stage for some performances and it is great. I noticed the screws to adjust intonation were slightly loose causing buzzing but it was easy to take care of. Make sure you use a hair dryer or something to warm up the sticker on the pick guard before removing it so you're not left with a half ripped sticker. Plays great, the finish is great, no raised frets, no sharp fret ends, came basiclaly set up and ready to go. Customer service was extremely interactive and responsive to any of my questions. .I have 2 fesley guitars and if I need more I'll be looking here first.
