This is a great replacement seat if you have and older one that is about to break. I replaced another seat like this but from another vendor. I purchased it in 2023 and it started leaking black grease from one of the hinges. Also it would slip and move so I would have to tighten it every now and then.After looking at the hardware with this seat I don't think it will move or get loose like the last one. Also to make sure I put double sided gorilla tape on each hinge before I installed it. I don't think this seat will move like the last one and I would recommend it to any one that needs to replace an old seat or install a new one. Also watch the install video it tells you how to break off the top of the mounting screws.

Good seat, i have bought 3 of them now as my others wear out. One customer (marlo) complained that the screws dont fit in the closure, but they do, if you read the instructions, there is a breakaway head that ensures you torque the screws completely. Use a 1/2" closed end box wrench for beast results! Once the head "breaks off" the caps shut fully. Love the slow close. No more sudden bangs!

The first thing I noticed with this seat was how solid the construction is, not flimsy plastic. The slow close is truly slow close. Fit and finish is great.

It seems well made and I expect it to last for years. Cons: "slow close" seems to be a solution in search of a problem. I see little or no benefit from the slow-close option. The mounting bolts require a wrench which is awkward to use in a tight space. The break-off feature to the bolt does prevent over tightening but once the top of the bolt has been broken off, you're back to working in a cramped space if ever there is a need to adjust or remove the seat. Fortunately, I had an old pair of slot-head plastic bolts from a previous seat. They required a flat-head screwdriver rather than a wrench--much easier to use.

they should never make anything but a slow close toilet seat. It doesn’t slam andwake everybody in the house.up. it is also very comfortable to sit on with the lid up or down, not like some cheap plastic lids that when you sit on them, you feel like they’re going to fall through

I was pleasantly surprised and nervous about buying a toilet seat on line and not seeing it first. It is good quality, solid, and cleans well. I would buy this brand again.

I wanted to replace the cheap seat that came with the toilet as it kept slipping around. This one had good reviews. Overall, I'm very happy with it. I does not slip and it's very solid. However, I added rubber gaskets to both sides of the bolt for extra snugness. When it came to snapping off the top, you have to push the wrench down at an angle. It won't snap off by itself.

I gave the product a 4 star rating because the seat is a good quality and fits. The problem is the length of the posts are extremely long and does not allow the caps to be closed. I am thinking maybe I could buy a tool to shorten them and then would love the seat. For now I am leaving the seat up until I can figure out or someone comes over to see what I did wrong.
