Solid, sturdy, aesthetic
Super impressed with these plates. Feels solid and looks great. As other reviews have mentioned, the rubber smell is pretty strong but theyโve started to dissipate. For context Iโm just your average gym goer and these do a great job for deadlifts. I do have stall mats in the garage so these plates donโt hit concrete directly. Probably would last longer that way.

Great value, buy them, air them, wash them, dry them, lift them. Simple
So, getting out of the way I have no experience with any other rubber bumper plates, I think these are great. For starters, since Amazon reviews aren't always clear, this review is for the 260 lb Economy - Speckled set. Getting to the elephant in the room, yes, they have an odor and are they slippery out of the package, but there are valid reasons for that and many other bumper plate brands and products are like this at first so it's not really a point of contention, just something that potential buyers need be aware of. So, they smell and are slippery. To solve that, first I opened the boxes, removed them from their plastic bags, and sat them in the garage for a few days with a fan blowing over them. Then, I washed each plate with Dawn and a sponge, one of those double-sided blue kitchen sponges in a utility sink (but you could do this in a tub or anywhere really). I washed each plate twice. Load the soft side of the sponge with Dawn and soap down each side of the plate and then switch to the scour side of the sponge and work the plate into a good lather all over. Get each side, the center hole, and the outer rim of the plate. Rinse and repeat the process. Then dry with a towel. You'll know you're good when after drying you leave a finger streak that disappears in a few seconds completely. If finger marks remain then there is still oil to be removed. Note: you should see the water/suds turning black/grey as you wash each plate and those suds clearing up on the second (or if need, third wash). So, set them out a few days under a fan in a well ventilated area then wash each one twice with Dawn to a good lather and towel dry. Now you'll be able to put them in your house without odor if that is where you plan to use them. I didn't weight every plate but a 45lb weighed 45.4lb on my home scale but the scale could easily be off and a sample size of one is useless, basic take away, the weights are close enough. Also, some people complain that the 10 and 15 lb are flimsy and they are but they also aren't designed with side loads in mind or to be used without the 25+ plates to help spread out the load, so be aware of that. Basically, don't leave the 10 or 15s on your barbell by themselves, especially in heat, for longer than your workout or they may flex and break. You can leave them on the bar with larger weights no problem, just not themselves. One last thing, while cleaning, don't scrub TOO hard with the scour side. You don't want to shed rubber or rub off the letters and numbers. Pound for pound tho, very happy with the set and are competitively priced to iron plates making this set an excellent set an excellent value (One last thing actually, I do find the speckling makes reading the numbers on the plates a big challenging as the speckling and numbers are the same color but it's not all that bad either, it's not like you're reading them a lot and they've color coded...and size coded, lol)

Great looking set of plates!
I just ordered the โeconomyโ set because Iโll only be using them for occasional home workouts, but Iโm impressed with the quality nonetheless. Theyโre sturdy and feel well made. Anybody just adding these to their home fitness collection should be totally fine with the economy set. I also paid a little extra for the speckled ones, and that just adds a little something appearance-wise. They do have a fairly strong โnew rubberโ smell, and maybe Iโm just weird, but I kind of like itโsmells like new gym equipment. It looks like some other reviews have already addressed this, but these plates seem to have been oiled before being packaged, probably to keep the rubber coating smooth, so they do have a greasy feel; watch out for your clothes while youโre unboxing them. Looking forward to using these!

Love the look of these!
These look great! Setting up the home gym and these are super easy to use. Weight seems accurate and I haven't noticed any greasiness. Material seems durable. I did notice that the 10lbs start to bend when being set up against the wall but they are the thinner of the weights.

Solid Quality and Great Value for a Home Gym
This set is a great deal if you're looking to build or upgrade a home gym. Iโve been using them consistently on a foam gym floor and the quality has been excellentโno issues at all. โ **What I liked:** * Great price for the amount of weight you get * Smooth metal inserts make loading and unloading the bar effortless * Durable construction, especially for home use * Clean, minimalist look that fits well in any setup โ ๏ธ **Things to know:** Like other reviewers mentioned, there is a strong rubber smell out of the box. I followed someoneโs advice and wiped each plate down, then washed them with soapy water outside and let them air out for a day. That helped a lotโthe smell faded pretty quickly after that. Unboxing and cleaning took a bit of effort (each plate came in its own box), but honestly, it was worth it. Iโd definitely buy these again.

Pretty good weights
Good weight set. They arrived quickly and in many different boxes on my porch๐ . They were very greasy when they arrived but I used some soap and water and scrubbed the weights and the greasiness lessened. They are pretty sturdy but I noticed they are not perfectly balanced. When using they spin the barbell slightly toward the heavier part of the weight. Still a decent set of weights and I can easily use on my squat bar at home!

they are okay. they look nice but not the best quality.
Great for a budget plate option or for a home gym. Not made for serious lifters. 10-15s will bend extremely easy

Nice plates for price
Actually pretty sweet. I didnโt notice too much of a smell just a bit, they were oily, but all in all great plates for the price! Whenever they go on sale Iโll probably get another set.

Really Like these Plates
I really like these Plates, They are a hard Rubber, won't scratch up your floor or if you have them leaning against a wall. I didn't know they were a hard rubber until I felt them I would diff purchase these Plates again.

Cigarette Smell...scrubbed for 3 days, finally smell better
Scuffs and scratches with a clean undamaged box and the whole weight stack just stink like stale cigarettes. We scrubbed them down with a citrus cleaner/degreaser and it made no difference in the horrible stench. Hope they all don't stink this way. ---- 3 days in and scrubbed and cleaned multiple times finally they don't stink of stale cigarettes. Still a sweet bumper plate and speckled look cool. Jus sucked how bad they stunk up the house.

Extremely Strong Chemical Odor โ Cannot Recommend
The plates arrived covered with an oily residue and had an extremely strong, harsh chemical smell. I initially brought them inside and wiped them down thoroughly, but even with doors and windows open, the odor did not go away. After several days, the smell was still very strong, so I moved the plates into my garage. Unfortunately, that did not solve the problem either โ the chemical odor continued to fill the space. I cannot say what exactly causes the smell or whether it is harmful, but personally I was very concerned about prolonged exposure to such a strong chemical odor and its possible effects on my health. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this product.
