Care needs to be taken when purchasing this trap because my first unit only had "a single tack weld at one of the 2 sides of the L Bracket that creates the outer support structure. This single weld BROKE DURING TRANSPORTATION, which also damaged the cardboard box used for shipment. The company & Amazon were FANTASTIC to immediately send out a replacement which actually arrived quicker than the original unit. I was both shocked & pleased to see that the replacement unit HAD 2 TACK WELDS ON EACH OF THE 2 FACES OF THE L BRACKET which creates a tight, strong corner for the outer support structure. I frankly do not know how to PURPOSELY ORDER THE 2 TACK WELD UNITS? But if you should happen to get the single tack weld unit, then return it IMMEDIATELY to get a replacement.

This trap looks like it ought to be really good. It's not! I lost as many birds as I was able to catch. They get to flapping around and the arms that hang down get stuck open and out they go! Pass this one up and look at the Havahart trap. This trap requires some work to assemble and the quality is awful.

I have a huge pigeon problem and all the yucky stuff they leave all over the walks and windows. I got this bird trap so I could humanely rid my property of them. The trap arrived on schedule and was very easy to setup. It works as advertised and is large enough to trap several pigeons at one time. It is easy to get the captured birds out and to release them FAR away.

Very poor design, birds go in, birds go out. Don't waste your money on this trap. So many times you buy, and you end up with useless items. This is one of them.

Of course if a large bird, like the size of a chicken, has to duck it's head down too much to enter this cage, it likely won't try. Of course if one bird sees another one get trapped in the cafe, they'll learn not to go in. I bought this hoping I could capture a couple wild chickens on my property: it worked for one, but the other one wouldn't try going in after seeing it's fellow get trapped. This isn't a fail-safe trap, just be warned.

Pigeons would not go into it. They went all around it. But would not go in. I think they are too smart here. But the construction is a good high quality for $100. Looks powder coated. Engineered well. Great idea. And I liked it but I have to return it unfortunately. Gave it several days and lots of birds but they won’t even touch it for some reason. I’d suggest it to others though. I re packed it as requested inside the box. Also it’s grey not white which is fine.

The doves seem to be able to work their way out after a bit, but it works like magic on the pigeons, as long as they are baited properly. I put it under my songbird feeder. Caught 5 pigeons in the trap at once.

Chickens get right out this is no trap at all. Very disappointing and very much so a waste of money. I never post reviews like this.
