Best tub mat you can buy!
This is my second Patrull Bathtub Mat. I was forced to give up the first one because of a mean family member. I am not a child, but this is both the most whimsical and practical bathtub mat I have ever seen. It has a gentle textured pattern on the top, reminiscent of abstract crocodile hide, and truly fierce suction cups all down the length of the back side. Nevertheless, it is easy for an adult to remove from the tub, and a quick rinse does the trick. I hope IKEA never stops selling this item.My joy in this product is helped because I love all things green, and I have been in love with alligators and crocodiles since my mother gave me The Cat in the Hat Beginner Book Dictionary with Aaron the Alligator a looooooooong time ago.Although I love to shower, this still brings a smile to my face every time I use it. Not many things in life can do that!Buy this and bring joy to your own life or to that of someone you love.

Great bath mat
I really like this bath mat. I read the reviews and although there were some concerns posted by other users, I decided to try it for myself. The mat doesn't cover the whole bottom of the tub, but I expected that. I don't think it really needs to cover every inch anyway. We do have a slightly textured tub surface, so the mat doesn't stick the way a regular suction cup would stick to a flat surface. Other users are correct when they say the mat doesn't stick to the textured surface but that it doesn't move either. But I have been putting the mat in after I begin filling up the tub, and when I pull the mat up after my son's bath, it does make a popping sound. So although it doesn't glue itself to the bottom of the tub, it does stick fairly well to our textured tub.I guess this bring me to my final comment. A lot of others have complained that the mat gets moldy after a few weeks of use. We haven't had any problems with this, because we shake the mat off and hang it up after every bath like the directions say to.This mat serves its purpose with no issues thus far and my son seems to like it too - that's good enough for me.

100% satisfied
Update: we bought this in March of 2015, and have used it almost every day. We hung it up to dry on the hole every time, and it never molded. We made the mistake of sticking to our shower wall for 3-4 days once, and it immediately molded. We tried every method to remove the mold, but it was unsuccessful. After 3.5 years, we are replacing it with another because it is great! Just be sure to hang it to dry every night, and you will get your money's worth out of it.Original review: This mat works great for my toddler. It stretches the length of our tub (which has a mild texture to the bottom and sides) and provides better traction than any of the other child-oriented bath mats available at our local stores.

We like it
I have an average sized tub and this manages to cover a decent amount of it. Of course, it doesn't go all the way out to the edges. If you're looking for complete coverage then look someplace else because this pattern does not lend itself to that. My kids love "Mr. Alligator". The suction cups are small and will likely, eventually, dry out which means this isn't going to suction to the floor forever. However, it's cheap and the kids love it so it's worth buying another one several months down the road. I only use it with the kids and otherwise Mr. Alligator easily hangs on a hook in the shower.ETA: 12/2012 - It's still going strong! Totally worth the purchase.ETA: 11/2013 - About to buy another Mr. Alligator! I'd give it a life time of 6 to 18 months depending on how you treat it. Obviously, it lasted us a long time so I think it's worth the purchase. I like that it's natural rubber and does not have any extra chemicals to make it antimicrobial. I have noticed a few reviews from people complaining that it collects mold but we have not had that problem. We only put it down when the kids take a bath/shower and then hang it on a hook to dry (in the shower), that might make all the difference. The suction cups do "dry out" over time and it starts to lose it's suction to the tub. For us, $10/year on a bath mat is great!

Love!
Iโve been looking for a good bath mat for myself for 10+ years, that doesnโt get gross or have an odor to it from its materielโฆ itโs been a struggle. Recently, I purchased this for my childโs tub and weโve got a winner! Not only is it a fun shape, but thereโs no odor, itโs easy to clean, easy to remove in between using the shower, itโs long enough for the tub. I ended up finally purchasing another one for my own bathroom. Itโs worth the couple extra dollars to get. I highly recommend this! You wonโt regret it.

Love the hole for hanging this up
I leave this hanging up by the hole in it most of the time and take it down to use it in the tub when giving my dogs their baths so they don't slide around so much. This works great for that although it would be narrow for use as a shower mat for younger children in a regular bathtub. Better maybe for adults and older kids who can stand on the suctioned part as needed for stability. Young kids won't know better and may slide around, it would not prevent a slip and fall in a bathtub without paying attention to your footing, in my opinion. Very cute! Love that I can hang it up between uses.

Cute, colorful and less mess in our small bathroom
This mat first caught my eye because it was so cute and it looks even better than pictured. Vibrant and cheerful in our very small bathroom. We don't have space for much decorating in there so it is great when something can be fun and functional too. But my favorite thing about this mat is the hole in the tail. I pull this up when the kids are done, give it a quick rinse and hang it on a hook at the bottom of the bath caddy at the back of the enclosure where it can dry thoroughly on both sides before the next use. Much easier to keep clean than our old rectangular one which I would either leave in place all week and then have to scrub at for way to long to degunk or end up draping it over the edge of the tub where it was always in the way and dripped small puddles on the floor. I know those of you lucky enough to live near and Ikea store can probably find these things cheaper but I don't even live in the same state as one so this was a great deal for me.

I like it
It may be a little small but works for me and my baby. Anyone complaining of mold should start hanging it after use. It's easy to pull up... Air it out. It does stick to my tub, hasn't loosed when using but easy to get off when done. So cute!

Good for a bathtub
I got this for my shower area... I do like it, but find it a bit small. Very cute and very practical.

Good Slip Prevention
Great product. Good quality. Super cute. It is just like the picture. The suction cups stick to the tub well and the non-slip plastic material works. The only thing I would have liked is a bigger size. ( a few inches longer and a couple inches wider would have been perfect) It doesn't fill the bottom of the tub as much as I would like. I use it to bath my toddler and if she moves to the end or off to one side too much, she slips. (she crawls or shuffles her bum around the tub.) But for an adult, this wouldn't be a problem.
