This is what I want in a head lamp for my night wanderings. The unit has memory so that it comes on in red mode. I don't have to cycle through the other settings. No batteries and recharges easily. It does not try to light up the night as some have done. Just the right amount of light. Have not used it for camping, so cannot speak to its use there, but it came in handy during a recent power outage.

Works great! I just wanted the red light and if you turn it to red and leave it there for a few sec and when you turn it back on it goes straight to red, plus you have the white as well. A win win..

I’m using the headlight primarily for astrophotography. It’s of good value for the money, easy to use, and functions well between bright white and red light.

It's compact and and works well for astronomy. I like this headlamp because it has a low profile and is less likely to get caught up on my telescope as I peer through it's eyepiece. But most of all, the red lamp works well and once you cycle it into "red" mode - as long as you leave it alone after that - a quick push of the button turns it off. To turn it on again, you just press the button and the red mode is remembered. I don't really like that if you don't get the timing right - you try to turn it off sooner than four seconds...that it instead changes modes to white. That's a minor annoyance and way better than other headlamps that cycle through the other modes no matter what! But you know what would be even better? Just give me a real hardware switch! A slide switch. One way is white, the other red and the middle off. Genius! I don't know why I must think of these things myself! In any case, the headlamp works well for astronomy and its quite inexpensive. I'm going to get some spares.

This is an OK beginner's headlamp, but next time I'd spend a bit more. The only cushioning is the band that holds the lamp on the head, and it's not very comfortable. Also, the on-off switch is hard to find and press while you're wearing it. But the light is very bright, and I only recharge every other walk. The USB charging port is flimsy, and if it breaks, the lamp will be useless.

Super bright, great quality/value, as advertised. Haven’t had any issues with battery life or charging.

Nothing bad, but nothing great either. Unremarkable but does work.

Poor quality headlamp that you should avoid. I bought it for the red led feature but there are no instructions on how to enable this. I seriously doubt it is 500 Lumens or IP54. I will be returning this item.

Not as bright as it claims. Silicone seal for the charging port doesn’t fit properly. I guess you get what you pay for.
