Review: Great little kitchen tool! - I wanted a small oven thermometer and love my thermopen 1 so I got this despite some marginal opinions in the reviews. My opinion so far is it's perfect for my needs. Compact, simple to set alarm temp. Intuitive and it only has 3 buttons so how hard can ot be. 1 push per degree or hold down to run fast, up or down. Reads the same temp as my thermopen 1. It's slower, but it isn't an instant read, its for watching temp in the oven. Magnets are strong enough to secure to my microwave cabinet. Not the door, that's stainless and is non-magnetic. My experience is it's perfect for the price! If it fails or has a major flaw I'll update this but glad I bought it now.

This works perfectly and is easy to use. So far it’s improved my sourdough bread baking and ensured my prime rib was medium rare. Both require a higher temperature (450-500 degree.) The cord is long and durable and has no trouble being pinched between the oven and oven door with the dot/temperature display portion sitting on the counter. The timer is loud enough to be heard from another room. I highly recommend.
