The head strap is a little tough to get adjusted initially but once it's set, it's not budging. I'm going through several videos trying to see where this would fit into my life. I have some wave on / wave off super light strip type lights that I use for mechanical work, and if I break one - it won't hurt as much . I'm not sure I want to beat this up under a car or in the garage. The battery is a big 18650 and the light will also work without their proprietary one. Hiking and Biking is where this light shines! Pun intended, It's a little on the heavy side, if you take it off the head band you a have a pretty powerful flashlight. Has a red emitter, a good magnet on the end, so yes, you could use this as a mechanic, but I'd worry about dropping it and chemicals . I think the 4.7 is an honest rating.
