It's a bare brass pen, satisfying mechanism, might need a tiny bit of grease in the mechanism to keep it operating smoothly. I found the ribbing on the grip section is way too sharp though. Smoothing those ribs off would make it much more comfortable. In fact that's what I did with some sandpaper. The pen is also very back-heavy due to the added brass bolt action mechanism in the back, but I'd imagine this is consistent will all bolt action machined pens. I'm overall happy with the purchase.

Purchased the brass one to look like the most comically fancy person at my dirty maintenance job. Fits pilot g2 number 10 refills fine, which are my favorite for writing on dirty and oily papers. Tried Fisher and Rite in the Rain and they just can't hold up. The thumb knob on the mechanism was "hand loose" when it arrived, so I think it would've come undone and been lost eventually from normal use if I hadn't noticed it. I will try to tighten it down with some knipex pliers that have smooth jaws, so I don't damage the nice surface. If that fix doesn't last, loctite it is. I will update this review if it turns out the mechanism doesn't last or it's extremely sensitive to dirt. I don't bathe in gravel or anything like that, but my work certainly isn't always the cleanest.

Ich habe diesen Kugelschreiber gekauft, weil ich etwas gesucht habe, das stabil in der Hand liegt und beim Schreiben mehr Kontrolle gibt. Genau das erfüllt er zu 100%. Der Stift ist deutlich schwerer als ein normaler Kugelschreiber, aber genau dieses Gewicht macht den riesigen Unterschied: Die Hand zittert weniger, der Stift liegt ruhiger, und die Schrift wird automatisch sauberer und gleichmäßiger. Die Verarbeitung ist absolut hochwertig: massives Metall, sauber gearbeitete Gewinde, kein billiges Klappern. Auch der Clip ist stabil und verbiegt sich nicht sofort wie bei vielen günstigeren Stiften. Die Mechanik funktioniert präzise und ohne Spiel. Die Pilot-G2-kompatible Mine schreibt schön weich und gleichmäßig, ohne Kleckser oder Aussetzer. Sehr angenehm, wenn man länger am Stück schreibt. Da der Stift schwer ist, muss man kaum Druck ausüben. Wichtig zu wissen: Wer extrem leichte Stifte gewohnt ist, muss sich umgewöhnen. Für mich ist das Gewicht aber ein klarer Vorteil, weil es die Schrift stabilisiert. Auch bei feinmotorischen Problemen oder zittrigen Händen ist der Stift wirklich eine Hilfe.

Lovely to write with and good quality

This pen is fantastic. Writes smooth and feels very well balanced in the hand. The bolt action style is refreshing and different, more fulfilling to fidget with. The titanium feels great with the metal texture and there are no metal burs. The pocket clip feels strong and sturdy. This one’s not flying off into oblivion if stressed too much. The packaging is too notch to boot. Came with a few replacement ink cartridges in the box. This is a perfect gift for yourself or for someone else as I see a lot of potential with engraving and with the titanium, engraving and anodizing.
