High Quality, Easy-to-Use, and impressive Customer Service
The after-sales support from Maono has been exceptional. The Mac interface was released only a few days after my purchase, and I assume I was one of the first people to download it. Accordingly, I had some teething issues. However, the support team was incredibly responsive, and even provided me with updated files directly via email, rather than have me wait until the next business day to download via the website. In terms of the product itself - the PD300X is a microphone that offers tremendous features & quality for the price; I have been very impressed. The recent release of the Mac version of the Maono Link App, as well as knowing you'll get impressive after-sale support, should make this unit the Go-To choice for any Mac user seeking a microphone in this price range.

Maono PD300X Competes With BIG Name Microphone Companies!
I got the microphone last week & tested it on my laptop. The Maono PD300X looks like exactly like the microphone from an different company. But, it's mostly metal & I love that! The microphone is heavy & having an weak boom arm is a bad idea. Therefore, the mic will last for more than five years. It's all black & professional. The only thing it's plastic is the volume knob & less click than Maono PD200x. It has the software app & works like an charm. But, it'll take some time to get use to it. On USB mode, the software app has four EQ settings: podcast, live streaming, recording & gaming. I tried out the recording & sounds really good. In fact, it sounds like an expensive microphone. As for XLR mode, it sounds in between not too much bass & not too thin. In fact, I got Scarlett Vocaster One audio interface & it works with the microphone perfectly. One more thing, it has versatility in connectivity (USB/XLR). I'm not an audio engineer at all, just an average guy who loves microphones & want to grow with Maono PD300X. If you want an microphone that won't drain your wallet, last an long time, has options in connectivity & FOR beginners, Maono PD300x is the microphone for you.

Good sounding dynamic mic with software customization options, some handling noise from buttons
The media could not be loaded. This mic feels like a solidly built mic with its metal enclosure. It has a clean look but does have somewhat bold branding for Maono printed on the side. The sound of the mic is good for a mic in this price category. Since it's dynamic it tends to not pick up as much background noise as condenser mics. To further minimize background noise, there is a software based noise gate that can be configured through the Maono Link software. It's not using AI to remove background noise, so you might still hear some of the noise come through while talking. The mute and volume control knobs are on the side of the mic and generate some noise in the mic when pressed or turned. I wish that the mute button design was capacity touch instead of mechanical so that it wouldn't generate noise when pressed. The Maono Link software has a built-in audio recorder, but it seems to only record in 16-bit 48kHz sample rate instead of the maximum 24-bit 192kHz sample rate supported by this mic.Overall, this is a good option for solo creators, gamers, or podcasters. My only caution is that there's handling button noise and knob noise.

I'm Impressed–and That's Not Easy to Do!
My MAONO PD300X Dynamic XLR USB Mic is working great. I just finished recording a few voice overs and am now using it to record water sounds (garden watering nozzles). I'm impressed with the crisp quality of recording. At first I was a bit disappointed because the brand new MacOS software wasn't able to be downloaded immediately. However, I contacted MAONO customer service and Kris responded within a day. A few days later I received an email from Kris with a link to download the new software directly–installed it on my MacBook and ka-pow! VERY NICE! I couldn't be happier with my new MAONO Mic and MAONO's customer service. Truly topnotch! I will definitely look into MAONO products for my upcoming XLR audio mixer and microphone needs.

New Budget King!!!
WOW! Maono has really raised the bar! The warmth and clarity of this microphone is great! In xlr mode, It sounds like a $400 mic! I haven't tried it in USB yet, but can't see why it wouldn't also sound fantastic. FINALLY, a budget mic with a studio sound that meets my standards!I was not expecting this to rival my sm7b, but I really couldn't tell the difference when I compared them! Why would anyone need to spend $100's on a pro-quality mic with this thing available for on $99. Nice job, Maono!
