unknown pond problem for 9 months....this fixed in 10 combined with PondClear
I am just stunned beyond belief with this product combined with PondClear. I have been battling an unknown pond problem for 9 months and bought these two as yet another "can't hurt, why not, what do I have to lose other than more money" disheartened stab at a solution. Took 10 days to fix it.About 9 months ago the pond lost it's sparkle, the water wasn't quite as clear, the sun didn't reflect on it. As months went by it then became sorta cloudy, then really cloudy and I could no longer see the bottom. Then for the last 4 months I've seen lots of particles floating in the water.Testing the water always showed it was fine. I did a water change....4 times! each time taking it down further thinking I hadn't changed enough of the water and then incurring not only high water bills, but the cost of the chemicals and bacteria to make the water safe. Each time, the particles and cloudiness came back within days. I then thought my UV system must be on the fritz and that it was little algae particles. So I spent close to $1,000 getting all new bulbs, sleeves, gaskets and ballast. It had no effect. I then contacted a pond company who told me I needed more circulation and aeration. I bought a new external pump and shot that water into the air to both circulate and aerate. No improvement. I've tried Amquel Pond, Seachem Prime, API Pondcare, countless flocculants, liquid bacteria, barley straw, polishing cloths and more in quantities that were massive. Nothing cleared the water and got rid of the floating particles. The water wasn't full of algae, this was not a green issue. The floating particles were actually brown and visible to the naked eye.I got this product along with PondCLEAR (versus PondCare). I followed the directions and put it in. I turned off my UV for 4 full days. I watched and examined every day and saw nothing till day 10. On day 10 I wasn't sure if there was a slight improvement or not. It had rained heavy and I thought that might have done something. But by day 11 there was no mistaking it.....it was clearing! By day 12 I could see the bottom again! It is now day 14 and I can barely see any of those particles floating in the water. This is a white powder with a scoop and you put some in some water in a bucket and then stir. The directions say stir till it turns brown. Mine never went brown, it went a milky white in the bucket. I thought maybe the "brown" was a typo and so after much stirring and only getting white, I dumped it in my pond. It turned the water white. I worried about my fish and plants. Between the cloudiness of the water to begin with and now this white stuff, I will admit I was concerned what I'd find in the morning. But by morning the white was gone and just the cloudiness I had been dealing with remained. I do not know if it was the bacteria or Eco Boost that fixed my issue, I still couldn't tell you what my issue was. This is my first time using bacteria in a packet, I've used multiple brands of liquid bacteria. But I am stunned, happy, shocked, and all of that to have my pond back again the way it was.User for life....! I even made a reminder on my calendar for every 2 weeks (how often you use this) so I'll never have this issue again.

Works as advertised
I have issues with field run off into my lake...so I do get fertilizer run off. I first killed the existing floating algae I had with cutrine plus algaecide. After the floating algae was under control, I raked as much muck out from the edge of the pond as I could. Not gonna lie, it was a lot of work with a rake and a wheel barrel. I used two products from airmax. 1) Muck Away ( natural probiotic bacteria), and 2) EcoBoost. I followed the EcoBoost directions and Mixed it with pond water and spread it all the way around my pond. By the second month I was definitely seeing results. The next time I used the product the clarity was amazing around the pond, and the binders in the product are keeping the algae blooms under control from the fertilizer run off. Great Product! If you have a problem like mine, this is not a one time treatment. The product lasts for approximately 4 months I think. So that would roughly be $300 a year for ecoboost, but well worth it.

Absolutely Incredible Stuff
For 14 years, we enjoyed a cloudy, milky 1 acre lake. All the other ponds around us were somewhat clear except ours, so I thought we'd give this a shot. About a month or two after using it, I noticed that we could actually see the fish we were feeding instead of watching splashes. I realized that nothing changed at all except we started using EcoBoost only. I dropped a tape measure down and wonderfully, we now have at least 5 feet of visibility. I could be a salesman for this stuff. Give it a try !

Waste of money.
I put the entire tub in my pond, mixing it in five gallon buckets, and it did absolutely nothing. Don’t waste your time or money. Terrible.

Seems to work.
I've used this a couple times now and see a noticeable difference each time I use it. I'm not good about using it as often as they suggest (realistically actually only one treatment per year). I use it in conjunction with pond clear from the same manufacturer each time, so I'm not sure if only one or the other is working, but they at the very least work well as a pair.

Poorly packed
Very poorly packed. Large heavy tub dropped loosely into a much larger box which was lightly taped. Box was open and damaged. Product was fine, I’m surprised it was delivered.
