I am obsessed, and you will be too
This little drone is simply the most wonderful toy I've ever owned. There are so many automated modes to experiment with, it's like having your own personal little cameraman. The battery life leaves something to be desired, and it's a little finicky to change out the batteries, but they're small enough that you can carry several with you. Well worth the cost at full price, in my opinion.

Great
I’m extremely impressed with this drone. The setup is incredibly easy and it’s flying within seconds—no controller needed. The hands-free flight modes are awesome and make capturing videos effortless, especially for family trips, outdoor adventures, and quick clips. The video quality is clear and smooth, and the drone feels well built despite being lightweight and compact. I also love how portable it is—it fits easily in a bag and is perfect for travel. This drone delivers exactly what it promises and has been a lot of fun to use. Great product and well worth it!

If you need a reliable and accurate cameraman that fits in your pocket this the drone for you!
I'm really just starting to work with this drone, but from what I've seen so far, this is an amazing piece of technology. I am so blown away by this little drone. It's really like having you're own personal cameraman and that cameraman can fly. Pros and cons:Pros:1. It follows you dutifully and in pretty difficult terrain. It is pretty hard if not impossible to lose once it locks on to you. I am really shocked at how good its optical tracking is. It's better than my Mini 4 pro on tracking people.2. It is easy to use and requires no controller. Most of its functions are just a matter of pushing buttons on the drone itself.3. Its hard to crash and pretty unflappable if it does hit something. If it makes a hard impact it just rights itself and lands. I put it into some small branches and it just pushed through. I hit a wall and it just landed. Its probably possible to crash it but I've not been able to yet. If it does crash it weights next to nothing and has a lot of semi rigid cage surrounding it to cushion the blow.4. Its compact. You can carry this thing easily and it folds and unfolds instantly.5. The video quality in good light is surprisingly good for 2.7k @ 30fps. It can shoot 1080p @30 or @60fps but I've not really used it yet to test how good it is. It always seems to be perfectly in focus and perfectly exposed. Also the image stabilization gimbal is first rate, it is a very smooth shooter.6. You can use your phone to control its functions and it can use your phone to record audio which it automatically noise cancels the drones sound. Its pretty incredible. Sure, that can be done in post but this is just so easy to use and very effective. If you want to shoot and upload stuff immediately, this can do it.7. It can download all the videos and photos you shoot to your phone and its very quick and easy.Cons:1. Battery life. The battery is small and light and it will give you anywhere from 10-20 minutes of flight time depending on how many demands you make in the way of movement. If its tracking you on a bike expect the low end of the scale, if it just hovering and tracking you, it will use less battery. The upside is you get 2 batteries with it, a very nice double charger and the small capacity mean they charge fast. I didn't time it but it seemed like about an hour to do the two batteries. The batteries are charged sequentially.2. No 4k camera. That said, the camera is very good in descent light and starts to show some grain in low light but still not bad.3. No removable SD card. It has 28gb of onboard storage if memory serves, which I've thus far come no where near using, but a removable card would be a nice touch.4. No collision avoidance sensors. It is very good at following people, I used this in the woods that confounded my Mini 4 pro and was totally unflappable. It just sticks to you like glue and its so small it can really squeeze through tight spots. Granted the Mini 4 Pro is an all around great drone, super sophisticated, can do incredible things too, and its quite good at not running into things, but as far as being a close in robotic cameraman for shooting people, the Hover X1 is better. Turning corners in a house are probably its biggest struggle. That's where collision avoidance would be helpful. If it does hit a wall, it just lands itself so its not really a big deal.5. No GPS positioning. All guidance is done via optical sensors. Whether its truly a con for the specific mission of this drone is debatable. It can operate in a building with ease as it doesn't need to connect to a satellite to be stable and follow your moves. It does need some light however to see you. If it cant see you, it just stops.6. Range of operation. This drone is not going to fly more than whatever wifi range is. It is not intended to take high flying panoramic scenes. It is for shooting people relatively near the ground and it is very very good at it. If you need to fly far away this is not the drone for you. It does have very nice manual controls on the app with full flight control and gimbal control. It uses Wifi so while Ive not tested the limits of how far it can fly, it's going to be within Wifi range. That said, it doesn't require Wifi to do any of its major functions, only if you want to fly it manually.7. Sound. Like any drone, its pretty loud and this thing whines like a giant swarm of mosquitoes. Of course it has the sound canceling so even though your talking in a what sounds like a banshee howl, your audio will come out pretty much pristine as long as you have your phone on you to use as a mic.Honestly, the cons are in some ways not really cons, its a purpose built drone that does what it was designed to do almost miraculously well. If you like to shoot selfies or need a robot camera man to do tracking shots for any film making endeavor , this thing is fantastic.

Game Changer
I recently purchased the HOVERAir X1 Self-Flying Camera, and I must say it has completely exceeded my expectations! I've tried a drone or two drones in the past, but the X1 stands out as a true game-changer.The self-flying feature is revolutionary, making it incredibly easy for both beginners and experienced pilots to capture stunning aerial shots. The autonomous flight capabilities are smooth and intuitive, allowing me to focus on framing the perfect shot without worrying about navigating the drone. The camera quality is outstanding, producing sharp and vibrant images with its high-resolution lens. The gimbal stabilization ensures steady footage, even in challenging weather conditions (but I woudn't fly it in the rain). I was particularly impressed with the versatility of the X1, seamlessly transitioning between photo and video modes with a simple touch on the app.The obstacle avoidance system is another pretty good feature. The X1 intelligently detects and navigates around obstacles, except for a densely canopied forest on a narrow trail. Don't get me wrong, the drone effortlessly avoided trees and other obstacles just fine..The battery life is commendable, providing ample time for extended photo sessions or recording videos. The compact design and foldable arms make it easy to transport, fitting into my camera bag without taking up much space. For the value, I gotta sau the HOVERAir X1 Self-Flying Camera is a must-have for any photography enthusiast or professional seeking a reliable and innovative drone. Its combination of autonomous flight, advanced camera capabilities, and obstacle avoidance make it a top contender in the market. Mavic should take notice!

DONT BUY
DO NOT GET IT!!!! this thing only lasted 5 seconds. I was really excited to use it and I got it for my birthday. It’s supposed to detect the water and land. I went paddle boarding on a lake (Emerald Cave) and as soon as I turned it on the Drone took one roundabout around me and it then DROWNED IT SELF in to a the 5 story deep river. I was not going to risk my life to save the stupid drone that drown it self. I AM SO SAD AND DISAPPOINTED I wish they could have replaced I took some test shots at home and everything was great, but once I was in the lake almost $500 dollars went away in seconds.

A flying selfie camera for new vbloggers & recreational users
Product Review for Amazon- HoverAir x1 white.I am a new travel blogger and content creator. I am looking for a device that allows me to take drone-like images/videos, hand-free selfies, and fancy cinematic shots without using a DLSR Camera or a powerful lens.I wasn’t sure about owning a drone as it is expensive and requires learning time. So, I opted for HoverAir x1 as my entry-level - flying selfie camera/drone.I have been using it for more than a month. Here is my feedback. What I love about this product:It is small and light. It can fit into the pocket of my yoga pants, the side of my backpack, and even my Chanel handbag. The learning curve is not steep. You can get the concept after a few trials.I like that it has a Storage Management system to keep all the shots I took; it allows me to view them before downloading them to my phone. The Flight Mode fulfills most of my needs as a new travel blogger and digital content creator. There is Hover, which allows the device to hover while I am doing something like tying my shoelace, Zoom Out, which is great for establishing shots and also for group photos, Orbit, Bird’s Eye, Dolly, and more. They are enough to keep me busy and put together an excellent 30-second video on Instagram. What is just ok about this productMicrophone … it is ok. I tried using my microphone … but it didn’t sound great. So I use voice over mic via 3rd party app to edit my footage.Aerial View … I was hoping it could capture more surface, but then I realized it could fly up to 50 feet high.Battery … It needs a recharge after about ten takes when I use the camera for both taking footage and viewing what I took. I could have taken more if I hadn’t viewed the shots I took.Because this camera is light, it doesn’t do so well on windy days. It doesn't have the sensor system like a typical drone, so you can fly this in less crowded places and when the area is clear from cables, branhes, bushes etc. What can be bothersome about this product`1. It is noisy and loud. Not too lound but loud enough when I am out at 5 am to take shots or in a quiet area.Despite my complaints, I’ve gotten used to this flying camera and love it. It is not a perfect drone-like camera, but it is perfect enough for me to get footage to put on social media. It is definitely not for professionals who need a robust drone camera, but it is suitable for beginners as well as DIY digital content creators who do not want to spend a dime on cameras and drones for their social posts.Should you get it? I say yes if you are happy to be a non-professional videographer like I am.

Tiny drone, great video quality, and unbelievably easy to use
I picked up the HOVERAir X1 Drone with Camera because I wanted something small and simple for quick videos without carrying a full drone setup. After using it a few times, I’m really impressed with how much tech they packed into such a tiny device.First impressionsRight out of the box, the drone feels very well built and thoughtfully designed. It folds down extremely compact, and setup is basically nonexistent — unfold it, choose a mode, and it launches from your hand.I included a video of unfolding the drone so you can see how compact it is and how quickly it’s ready to go.Size & portabilityThis thing is much smaller than I expected, which makes it really easy to carry around. The photos I attached show the size compared to my hand so you can get a realistic idea of how portable it is.It’s the kind of drone you can throw in a bag and take anywhere.Video & audio qualityFor such a small drone, the video quality is surprisingly sharp and stable. The stabilization works really well and the footage looks smooth. I was also surprised that the audio quality captured in the videos is actually pretty clear, which I didn’t expect from something this small. What comes in the boxI added a photo of everything included in the package, which makes it easier to see exactly what you receive when ordering.Things I like✔ Extremely easy to use (no controller required)✔ Very compact and travel-friendly✔ Smooth stabilized video✔ Good tracking modes✔ Clean and simple designA couple things to keep in mind• Because it's lightweight, strong wind can affect it• Like most small drones, battery life isn’t super longOverallIf you’re looking for a simple, portable flying camera rather than a complicated drone setup, this is a really cool option. It’s fast to launch, easy to carry, and great for capturing quick moments. The photos and video I attached show the size, what’s included, and how the drone unfolds, which should help give a better idea of what you’re getting.

The flying selfie stick is fun and easy to use
Oh, what a lovely little drone this is. I recently took the Hover Air X1 with me on a bicycle tour across Florida (around 800 miles over 3 weeks). Super light weight, compact size makes it an ideal drone for bicycle touring. And the pre-programmed modes are awesome for someone like me who is new to drones and didn't want to climb the learning curve, so to speak.I frequently used "hover", "follow me", "dolly track", and other (pre-programmed) modes to capture content I wanted to share with friends, family, and other bicycle tour enthusiasts. And once I discovered I could also manually control flights using the Hover app, I was thrilled by what I could do with this drone. I also really loved the simple and easy to use "land" mode. I always enjoy just holding my hand under the drone and letting it land on my palm. How cool is that?!As per the specifications, this drone is not suited to situations with high wind or rain as some other (higher priced) drones can do, but for me that was a non-issue as I didn't want to capture content in those conditions. It also is not fast enough to keep pace with a bicycle at speed (e.g. > 10 mph) but, again, I was not expecting it to. What I did was ride slower when taking action shots so that the drone would be able to keep pace (follow me mode), or I would plan the shot to fit within the drone's capabilities (bird's eye mode, hover mode with a drive by, manual mode with the phone affixed via quad lock to the bicycle so I could operate the controls whilst riding). It is a very flexible drone with lots of potential for getting great shots. It is also very robust. The plastic cage surrounding the rotors ensures that crashes (yes, I had a couple) don't damage the rotors, the gimble + camera(s), or the main body of the drone.I also really liked having two batteries so I could fast swap while on the road. The battery life met my expectations but for those seeking longer flights this might not be the best option - I was getting 10-15 mins of flying time in temperatures ranging from 50's to 60's Fahrenheit, and also dependent on the wind conditions.Besides all that, it's just fun to use. Although not recommended by Hover, I often would fly the drone indoors to show-off its merits to people who were curious to see what the drone could do.

Amazing for Capturing Family Moments!
I recently purchased the HOVERAir X1 and have been thoroughly impressed! Setting it up was a breeze, even for someone like me who's not particularly tech-savvy. Within minutes, I had it up and running, ready. The camera quality is exceptional, and the self-flying feature allows us to get creative with our shots without needing a dedicated operator. It's pocket-sized, making it super convenient to take along on family outings.Highly recommend for anyone looking to effortlessly capture and cherish family memories!

Expensive but intelligent
If your looking to simplify those crazy drone shots you see well om your adventure or just in your backyard this is the drone (flying camera) for you. Complete ease of use. The AI does it all including the ability to handle wind, it's actually quite amazing I highly recommend for simplicity but quality. No stress no big ordeal to get that amazing shot.UPDATE : LISTEN TO THE INSTRUCTIONS DO NOT FLY OVER WATER. I RECENTLY TRIED TO GET A OVER OCEAN SHOT ON A TRIP TO CENTRAL AMERICA. IT LOST CONTROL FLEW ABOUT 100FT OUT AND NOSE DIVED INTO THE OCEAN. VERY EXPENSIVE LOSS.

A few hiccups but all good now
Out of the box and downloaded the app. Wouldn’t connect. Two hours later and gave in. Emailed customer support and received this:Thank you for contacting HoverAir Support.Follow the steps below,1. Press both the X1 power button and the function button for at least 3 seconds until the LED indicator turns blue, then the X1 will re-allocate to your new cellphone.2. Restart your Hover X1, the App first.3. Can you please confirm if you received any error message/ error code from the App? If so please let me know its detailed content4. If step 2 fails, please let me know your current phone's brand, type, and system version. It worked! Now to get to grips with it and film some clips! My first recording was in quick time but on downloading it played at the correct speed. Great little drone for the money, easy to use and will be perfect for our upcoming adventures.

Not a toy, perfect for vacations
I have multiple DJI drones but nowadays I seldom take it out when travelling due to all the complexities behind regulations and the bulk in the suitcase. The Hover solves these issues. The best drone to have is the one that's always with you and the Hover is so convenient use and carry around. The quality of the videos are surprisingly good as well. The only thing is the battery life is not fantastic and if you're out and about the whole day, I think even 2 batts not going to cut it. Hover, please make spare batteries available to but on Amazon for international shipping. Overall, a fantastic tool for casual use....
