BOB AND BRAD TheraHeat Far Infrared Weighted Heating Pad for Back, Shoulder

Tried nearly a dozen heating pads before finally finding this one, that met EVERY ONE of my needs and expectations, and was exactly as description claimed. Very hot! Gets up to 150°. Heats instantly. Both sides very plush, soft and cozy. Perfect weight. Well made and stitched. Long cord and easy controls. PLUS: The heat does feel really different, like it is actually penetrating deep into your skin, not just heating the surface. Guess it's the Far Infrared? Not sure, but it's great! It also has loops on both ends for the extra belt strap that's included. Even if you choose not to use the strap itself, the loops really come in handy for holding or positioning the pad exactly where you want it. Thought it'd be obnoxious, but turns out to be really cool added feature. HIGHLY recommend!!! Stop your search and order this one!

This, by far, the best heating pad I have EVER used! It is extremely soft, flexible, heats well, is a tad weighted so you get a nice, even distribution of heat in such a nice way. You do not need to deal with a stiff heating pad like there used to be. I have degenerative disc disease and the flexibility of this heating pad allows me to place the heat right where I need it, fasten it on, and finally, after trying everything under the sun, feel relief. The size is much bigger than my other heating pads, allowing for larger areas of relief. If what you need is a soft, fast to heat, safe to use, flexible and fastened heating pad, don’t hesitate!

Love it! Nicely weighted as I thought. Love the timer option. Gets hot quickly and the size is perfect. The stitching should be more durable since this is a product that gets handled a lot. I’ve had it since December and the stitching is coming out.

9/10 It's not burn hot, but it does it work. You have to let it heat up for about 10 minutes before using it. The humid hot it's good and it has intructions on how to do it.

I’m in LOVE with my heating pad!!! The infrared technology is everything I’ve ever needed. It heats up quickly, and it’s a decent hot temperature for a little while and then all of a sudden it’s like this intense inner like calm deeper penetrating heat! I’ll forever purchase this brand from now on. Also had a slight rip/tear in the fabric to where the inner beads started to spill out. I contacted Bob And Brad’s customer support and was immediately issued a replacement and had the most pleasant email communication with Ava. Thank you for making such a quality product. 10/10 will ALWAYS recommend!!!

This has been a great heat pad! I ordered for endometriosis surgery recovery and it saved my life with the shoulder pain. Is also a game changer for menstrual cramps! I had to wash it because my cat unfortunately thought it would be the perfect spot to pee, and all urine smells are gone and it still functions great after washing. Love!

Many pros, just one con … uneven performance at reaching and maintaining set temp.

A good heating pad is a must have for me I use them all the time. Very soft material, more so than a typical heating pad, especially the side that’s designed to go on your skin, very soft feels great. I like the strap option, it helps keep the heating pad in place while you sleep. It’s pretty. The weight is not very heavy, I prefer more weight than this, it’s pretty light and not much heavier than the typical heating pad. At least compared to my last one which was very heavy and helped with the heat. Nonetheless, it’s still weighted and feels good. Upon first use, I didn’t think it got nearly hot enough and considered returning. After using it more, I’ve decided to keep it. It gets plenty hot. It’s definitely less hot than my last heating pad, but I have toasted skin syndrome so maybe that’s a good thing. The heat does build over time and you can add water to it if you want to increase the heat. The 90 minute timer being the maximum timer, is annoying. I’m not a fan of auto shut off but I do appreciate safety, but I feel 90 minutes is shorter than typical and it’s annoying to wake back up to turn it back on. Pros: Pretty, Soft, Safe Heat, weighted, strap Cons: 90 minute shut off, could be heavier, not the hottest I’m keeping it and I’d probably buy again as long as it lasts me around a year, we’ll see.

This is a fantastic heating pad! I get semi-regular back and shoulder issues where my muscles seize up and spasm painfully. This heating pad is part of my self-management strategy (along with physiotherapy), which has helped me avoid ER room visits and prescribed opioids (which made me sick). It is large enough to cover my entire back or shoulders. It comes with a belt so you can sit with it on (rather than lying on it, which is a big safety hazard in terms of burns, or having it fall off.) It is very powerful; a 3 setting is sometimes too hot and I turn it down. You can also set a timer with the controls. The infrared ceramic beads allow for deeper penetration of heat, which makes it very effective. I also am about to try it with moist heat, where you spray it with some water. The fact that it is washable (after detaching the controls) is even better! Customer service is fantastic! I did have an issue, where I used it about 3 times and it quit. I followed all the trouble shooting on their web-site then called them. I got a real person very easily (!), who immediately gave me simple instructions for how to return it. I had to demonstrate it via a brief video and give purchase info (order number, date). The same day I got a response and within a few days I had a completely new heating pad via courier. The fact that Bob and Brad are so well-regarded by physiotherapists everywhere (they make Youtube videos that are great references) was a big selling point for me in choosing this particular heating pad.

This should not be called weighted because it is lighter than my regular heating pads. I’m not overly impressed with this product The heat works fine, but it is not weighted and that’s why I bought it so I’m going to be returning this

This heating pad is perfect! The material is smooth and comfortable and it heat pretty good. The thermostat goes up to 6 but we keep it at 4 as it heat enough already. My wife and I are living in Canada and the cold is quite harsh over there. This item is a must have for cozy night on the sofa watching movies.

Nice, soft, large heating pad with a little heaviness, making it perfect to apply to any part of the body to sooth aches and pains. Six different heat intensities and up to 90 minutes functioning. Losing a star as I would have liked it to be a little warmer. Nonetheless, very satisfied. Good purchase

Pro’s: Right size,. Pad weight is fantastic. Retains heat exceptionally well. Easy to control the temperature. auto-shutoff feature is great when you take it to bed. Cons: none that come to mind.
