Easy to use, works great, feels really nice in the hand - solid and well made. We've used it for creme brulee (because you know, that's the law) and it worked perfectly. 9/3/25 Update: It is STILL working like a champ! I'm going to buy another! STOP RIGHT HERE...YOU FOUND A QUALITY TORCH! 12/30/24 Update: Over 1 year old and STILL WORKS! I've had bad luck with others, but I'm amazed it's still going strong! Bought on 10/23! Upgraded to 5 stars despite its drawbacks. Excellent quality. Does what it should do, and very quickly. A few things to be aware of: 1. It is much smaller than I anticipated, but that's ok. It's about .5lb, and appears to be well made in terms of craftsmanship. Does not get overly warm during extended burn times. Quiet operation, no noisy clicks for ignition. 2. It's not a precision sharp flame like you'd get from a gas station torch. The flame is big in diameter; not good for precision welding, crafts and such. Also, the conversion switch from torch to "soft" flame isn't what I expected. You won't get a yellow flame in this setting. 3. Very tricky to fill. NO fuel window! Maybe I haven't found the right nozzle to use, but a little less than half the fluid is wasted going in. Otherwise, it's fine for what I needed it for and the price was right. Although I give it 4 stars, I probably would NOT buy it again if I needed an additional one because of what I pointed out. Needs a bit of re-engineering.
