Furrion Chill Cube 18K Ducted RV Air Conditioner, White, FACR18VSDA-PS-AM

This 18,000 BTU rooftop air conditioner has exceeded my expectations. The variable-speed compressor makes a noticeable difference by keeping the temperature more consistent while running much quieter than traditional on-and-off RV air conditioners. Once it reaches the desired temperature, it ramps down instead of constantly cycling, which makes the camper much more comfortable. Cooling performance is excellent, even during very hot days, and the airflow is strong enough to move air throughout the RV’s duct system. The unit also starts smoothly without the loud compressor surge that many older rooftop units have. The overall build quality feels solid, and installation was straightforward on a standard RV roof opening. The modern design and R32 refrigerant are nice additions, and the unit operates efficiently while providing plenty of cooling capacity. Overall, this is an outstanding upgrade for anyone replacing an older rooftop A/C. It’s quieter, more efficient, and delivers excellent cooling performance that makes a noticeable difference in everyday RV use.

Great product keeps my RV cold enough to hang meat it was really easy to install with an extra set of hands in just about 2 hours from start to finish of installation that included replacing all the duct tape around my ducting openings it was surprisingly light compared to my old unit which made getting it on the roof a lot easier

I replaced my 12 year old Dometic AC that came with my RV with this Chill Cube AC. I am super impressed, the amount of cooling and the current draw is like night and day. I have very rarely used the Dometic AC unit (maybe 3 - 4 times in total) as it had a huge inrush that would overpower my generator causing it to disconnect. It also did not cool very well. This new Furrion unit addresses both issues. The RV was at 72 degrees in a 95 degree full sun wheather, Dometic could never do, at the same time drawing half the energy at around 850W. I have a solar setup with 6 300AH batteries and around a 3kW BougeRV Yuma solar panels (that I also love), I can run my AC unit just on that. On cloudy days I can use my Honda EU2000i generator without any problems. I bought Breeze Max to control the unit over the internet / remotely and another thermostat, cheap Emerson battery operated, relay for heat only thermostat for my propane heater as the Furrion unit does not have ability to control the heater. The installation went smoothly and the unit works super well. Did I mention it's super quiet in the ducted mode? It's footprint (on the roof) is also much smaller than the Dometic. I am super happy with this AC, I will definitely use it a lot more than my previous Dometic unit as now I can, no more putting up with a 90 degree RV. Highly recommend this game changing product, if you are a boondocker, you need this!

The Furrion Chill Cube is a Great A/C unit but I made the mistake of buying it from Autoplicity. The unit didnt work upon arrival and by the time I had gone through all of the troubleshooting with Furrion and found the problem it was passed the return window. Furrion said they couldn’t fix it because Autoplicity wasn’t an authorized seller. When I talked with Autoplicity they refused to do anything and kept insisting I could get it fixed under warranty even after I told them Furrion would not warranty the unit. In the end I had to buy the part myself which made an already expensive a/c replacement even more expensive. The unit works great but be sure to buy from an authorized seller. I would recommend not buying anything from Autoplicity even if they were an authorized seller.

I love me a chill cube! What’s not to like? More airflow, less noise, lower power usage, easy install. I’ve installed probably forty or so of these units, my only gripe is no furnace control, but there are certainly easy ways to handle that. The remote control works well. Can’t wait for the heat pumps!!!

Super nice AC. You do have to buy the inside part from the manufacturers website since you can't find it on Amazon. Wasn't a big deal since it showed up about 2 days after the roof unit did. It cools really good. It was 103F outside today and our RV got up to 95F on the inside while we replaced our older unit. Once we had it installed and running it only took about 2 hours to get the RV down to 73F inside. It's less noisy then my older unit which is nice. The wireless remote is a great addition also. My only complaint is that Furrion did not bolt the compressor fan to the bracket. All 4 bolts were missing. We only noticed this after getting the unit installed and tried to turn it on. Once we went back up on the roof and took the cover off that's when we noticed the 4 bolts missing on the compressor fan. Luckily we are about 5 minutes from Lowes and was able to go get bolts. This should of been a quality inspection failure that got caught before shipping.

Watched a lot of videos and noticed new campers coming with this, our A/C unit quit cooling, and it was loud, I am a DIY guy, easy install, takes a plan to get on the roof, neighbor came over with a tractor/loader, slide it on some old carpet to location, takes some wiring changes but YouTube videos of others changing, love the operation, quite, quick cooling and a remote, did have to order the distribution box, looks great and GF happy, similar price to old design dometic but much quiter, the Furrion remote does have the option of lower power inputs, a more modern product than was on my 2017 RV. Read the reviews. a 10+

I would like to give this five stars especially when comparing the Chill Cube to a older Colemann unit. Its like night and day difference. However there is a problem with the Chill Cube and how it handles or doesn't handle usage in high humidity areas. When in cool mode the set temperature will be maintained. However the room humidity will climb quickly to equal the outside humidity levels. Here on the east coast humidity levels could be 85% RH or higher. When using the dry mode the humidity levels will drop but there is no control of the room temps. On several nights of usage we found the room temp had fallen below 60deg F. I have thru email discussed this issue with Lippert customer care. While they have an explanation for this I don't feel this is an acceptable cooling unit for anyone dealing with humidity levels.

Item is useless if you do not have the air distribution box remote controller. In the package you will find an ADB included and (required) but not provided. Vendor doesn't mention this and you might get stuck with a very nice unit which is useless.

Once you get all the parts it works great but it won't work until you get the inside which is your control if Amazon doesn't have the control for a docked system you should tell the buyer it took my almost two weeks to find one not very happy having to wait that long to get ac in my trailer worki g in the heat this unit should be sold with both parts and not separate
