Roxanne Glue-Baste-It Temporary Basting Glue with 2-Way Applicator, 1.5oz

On the expensive side but this stuff works great for basting. Might even be a little too strong, I work with velvet a lot and it doesn’t always come right out with water so I’m careful when using.

Use this glue to hold quilt pieces together till sewn together. Works well. Wear gloves as it is hard to wash off hands.

This glue is wonderful!! I have been using it to glue down the edge of fabric, for "turned-edge" applique. It has been saving me so much time! The glue is thin, but very strong. I have been able to use it to hold down the applique shapes, while I am hand-sewing the shape to the background fabric. This glue works so much better than pins!! I usually needle-turn my applique because I like the softness of the finished project. This glue completely washes out, leaving the finished project just as soft as if it wasn't even there. My favorite of the Roxanne glues is the 2oz. Bottle with the very thin tips for dispensing glue (on the far left in the pic - I have several different applicators by Roxanne, as you can see in the picture). This product is very easy to squeeze without fatigue, but I don't care for the tips on this product as much as do the regular squeeze bottle. I highly recommend Roxanne's Glue Baste-It! My daughter told me about this product. She uses it to baste the small pieces in making lingerie. It was indispensable in finishing a Fun N Done quilt project I had started years ago but laid it aside. The basting glue certainly saved me from some major headaches in joining the rows together on the Fun N Done quilt. I like how it doesn't leave a gummy residue on my mini iron when I'm heat setting the seam after using the glue. It isn't a permanent glue so it will wash out no problem but it is so much better than pins when you need something to stay secure while sewing. I make sure I keep plenty on hand at all times.

I use this glue On my bindings, it’s easy to use. It’s not messy. It’s quick It doesn’t cause any problems with the needle And it gives me a very nice neat binding. I Also use it and other ways on quilts and Other Sewing applications

This product works wonders with adding binding to a quilt or any project with narrow margins. Used it on potholders and on a quilt with narrow margins. Love it and will use it on many future projects.
