Review: Great livestock or dog bucket --- - I wanted to use this not with a pressurized water system, but with a 25 gallon rainbarrel with spigot [I do not have pressurized water at the location I want to use it with; the rainbarrel won't use rain, but rather household water that I bring to it]. Anyway, it worked fine without pressurized water, just gravity-fed water! It doesn't fill as quickly with gravity-fed water, but the float valve works fine. Note that this waterer is large -- big enough for a larger dog or several dogs, or livestock. Plastic quality is very high, very strong. There is some assembly required and some metal screws that go into the plastic, but use an electric screwdriver and it will go together in minutes.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What does it mean "hardware not included"?  What hardware is not included?**
A: I got one last summer.  I think all the hardware that I added were two angle brackets to attach the duramate to the shelf and backboard that supports it.  All the plumbing, i.e., the automatic fill etc. was included.  I have found it works very well.  I take it down and store it in a plastic bag in the barn during the winter since we have quite a bit of freezing weather.

**Q: What do you need to purchase in addition to hook this up to a garden hose?**
A: I built a small stand to mount them. If you have something already to go.  Them just a hose. The float will not take a lot of PSI. I blow out two with pressure, so they ran all the time.

**Q: I have purchases over 20 of these, I need replacement female to female connectors to go from bucket to hose. Can I order some?**
A: I personally went to my local building supply/hardware store and bought replacements made from brass. I have 2 of these waterers and didn’t like those plastic connectors. A farm/feed store might have them, or I’m sure any big box hardware store store will have them also.

**Q: Any suggestions for a heater so it doesn’t freeze in the winter. We love ours but it’s in a non heated barn so it willl freeze this winter.**
