## Description

Product description K-Series Beginner Cleco Sheet Metal Fastener Kit w/Mesh Carry Bag 4 Cleco Sizes + Pliers + Carry Bag Fabrication work is easier than ever before thanks to Cleco Fasteners. The extremely handy and versatile fastening tools (sometimes spelled Cleko or called Skin Pins) are an indispensable tool and save a huge amount of labor time. Originally developed by the Cleveland Pneumatic Tool Company, Clecos have been a staple for the aerospace and aviation industries for decades. However, Cleco Fasteners can be used for a variety of applications, including automotive body work, general manufacturing, fiberglass installation, or any metal panels that need to be temporarily yet securely fastened together. Cleco Fasteners feature a steel body construction and spring-loaded plunger, and are a simple, inexpensive alternative to competitive fasteners. Able to apply up to 25 pounds of force per fastener, Clecos are easily operated by using the specially designed Cleco Pliers. A specially designed ''body seat'' holds the fastener in place while the plunger is depressed. To use Cleco Fasteners, simply place the fastener in the pliers, and squeeze the plier handle to sink the plunger and extend the pins, otherwise known as step-cut locks. Before Clecos, workers had to fasten panels together using nuts and bolts, which often required two people – one on each side of the panel – to properly hold everything in place. Clecos are blind fasteners, in that the tool can be used even when the worker does not have access to the other side, granting far greater versatility and usability than other panel fastening fabrication methods. K-Series Beginner Cleco Fastener Kit Includes 1/8'' Clecos (10) 3/16'' Clecos (10) 3/32'' Clecos (10) 5/32'' Clecos (10) Cleco Pliers (1) Blue Carry Bag (1) 1/8'' Cleco Fasteners Color: Copper Diameter: 1/8" Drill Size: #30 Grip Range: 0-1/4" Clamping Force in Pounds: 12-25lbs 3/16'' Cleco Fasteners Color: Brass Diameter: 3/16'' Drill Size: #10 Grip Range: 0-1/4'' 3/32'' Cleco Fasteners Color: Zinc Diameter: 3/32'' Drill Size: #40 5/32'' Cleco Fasteners Color: Black Diameter: 5/32'' Drill Size: #20 Cleco Pliers MRO TOOLS Cleco Pliers are designed for installing spring-loaded (plier-operated) cleco fasteners. Part of MRO Tools' Cleco Hand Tools, Cleco Pliers are designed with a body sear that holds the fastener in place while the plunger is pressed.

Great starter kit!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's nice
*by A***R on April 8, 2019*

Great little starter kit for classes taken in the aerospace industry. I've since added a 50 pack of -4 clecos, which is more than enough for the excercises that were assigned so far. My only gripe is that the pivot seems a little close to the end, making it just a little too short in grip and align the clecos and clamps before adding pressure. It's nothing that stopped me from using them, but compared to a larger and more expensive set of cleco pliers, you can see the differences.
