HyperChiller HC2 Patented Iced Beverage Cooler, Reusable, 12.5 Oz, Black

I absolutely love this and it's a necessity for anybody who likes iced drinks. The upgrade to the stainless steel outer is highly recommended. I previously purchased 3 of the plastic ones (one for my daughter, one for my office and one for home) and both of mine cracked. The company replaced the first one without any hassle but when the second one cracked I didn't want to replace it with another plastic one and ordered the stainless steel.Because I put sugar in my coffee I brew into a cup, add the sugar and then pour into this container. Let it sit or I swirl it around for a minute, then pour over ice. The ice doesn't melt and water down the coffee. This thing is just absolutely brilliant! It does 10 oz really well and 12 ounces is about maximum and might slosh out a little bit as you swirl.

I love love love this chiller! It’s easy to prepare and use, easy to clean, and works to cool hot drinks FAST. I make an iced latte every morning and prefer using cold espresso. Instead of putting my hot espresso in the freezer and waiting 30+ minutes I can just pour it in the chiller, swirl for a minute or so, and it’s super cold. Usually I pour it into the chiller and leave it while I get my breakfast together, that way the espresso is cold when I’m ready for it and I don’t have to spend any time swirling.This has made the morning routine so much easier, especially those rushed mornings when I don’t have time to wait for it to cool. It’s also very low maintenance. I rinse it out after each use and redo the ice part inside every couple weeks, that’s it. So glad I bought it!Update: bought mine in March, it finally cracked in December (RIP). For the price I got more than my money’s worth. I think I paid around $15 and used it every single day to make delicious NON-watered down ice cold espresso shots. So while it’s always disappointing when a product reaches the end of its life I’d say this one was well worth every penny. My new one is already in my freezer, I’ll never go without one again!

A dude I work with told me about these and I wanted to give it a shot, but he did warn me the plastic ones don’t last long, so I bought the stainless steel one and it is not great. It works ok enough, but the overall quality of material is not designed to handle the temperatures, either to reduce material cost or this just wasn’t thought of.After about only 8 uses or so, the bottom started to bulge out and it wobbles around no when I set it on a flat surface, not the end of the world, just annoying.The second big thing is, well it took this happening 3 times and me fiddling with it to figure it out, but the ice is freezing and pushing the lid threading up and away from the most exterior container and when I pour the coffee out the ice pushing up the lid created a gap, so a bunch of the water that melted pours into my cup with my coffee, completing defeating the purpose of this product… so yeah I’m pretty disappointed since in total I’ve use it maybe 15 times and it’s already heavily worn down.The first 5-6 or so uses were perfect, I had no issue at all. So this leads me to believe it is cheap materials. Was worth a shot, but I can’t honestly recommend this product.Edit: So I still kept trying to use this thing and the bottom kept blushing out further and further, so I gave in and gave it a couple hits with a hammer, and gave it a little bit more of an indent, and for whatever reason that was the fix for me. Took a little effort to “fix the product” but it is a good product now.

Love it. Bought it about 2 and a half years ago and it cooled down my coffee alot on hot summer days. With extreme hot and extreme cold being in plastic, it's bound to crack and today is sadly that day. Gotta say tho, I'm surprised it lasted this long so its pretty durable in that sense

The ad for this reads, “The HyperChiller will CHILL your coffee in less than 60 seconds. Take the edge off a hectic morning by enjoying an Iced Coffee on the go. ” However, the instructions say, “In as little as one minute, the coffee will have cooled down by up to 130 degrees F (54 C). Pour via the spout on the opposite side of the lid into your cup and enjoy!”Per the FDA Food Code, you cannot hold food less than 135 degrees F for food safety, which is HOT enough to minimize bacteria growth. My point is not food safety or bacteria. It’s that this product will only cool to 130 F, 5 degrees less than what is required to HOT hold food. It’s simply brought coffee (typically brewed 190 to 200 degrees F for best extraction) down to 130 degrees F.If you pour fresh brewed coffee into this (previously frozen) device, wait the allotted amount of time, then pour it over ice, you better have brewed your coffee really, really strong, as 130 degree coffee poured over ice may bring it down room temperature (70 degrees F) by melting all the ice and watering down your coffee significantly. Room temperature coffee does not equate to cold or chilled coffee to me.You’re better off brewing coffee the night ahead and keeping it in a cup of your choosing (not this device) in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning the coffee should be cool (~40 degrees F) and any ice added to it should remain ice, resulting in an actual ICED coffee with a good coffee strength (not weak or watered down). For these reasons, I cannot recommend this product for coffee.It may work well for wine and spirits, cooling those down from room temperature to something cooler and maybe “chilled” in about 90 seconds.

It was good while it lasted. It really came in handy and did it's job well. Brewed coffee from the Keurig directly into the hyperchiller and it cooled the coffee as promised. I always did two cups back to back, and I was very pleased! Yesterday after brewing my second cup I realized it didn't get as cold as normal, and after cleaning to put it back in the freezer I was drying it off and realized it wouldn't stay dry. That's because it was leaking water. I noticed a crack in the housing and it looks just like what many others have pictured in their negative reviews. A vertical hairline crack causing water to leak out and rendering the device useless. I have contacted customer support and will update this review once I receive feedback.UPDATE: I was finally able to get someone from customer service to respond to my claims and they required pictures of the damage, as well as the information on the bottom of the cup. They also required the merchant information and original receipt of purchase. Upon providing the requested information they sent out a replacement hyperchiller. In the follow-up note they made sure to remind me not to overfill the device with water beyond the recommended amount in the instruction (which I knew and followed to the T). I do not have faith that the replacement will not crack given the experience of so many others. It seems that they are all guaranteed to crack, and the positive reviews are just written before it happens. Hyperchiller is selling a product that is not up to par, and they really should fix it. The product is a really GREAT product prior to the inevitable crack, but once it happens it is useless. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I'm a big pour over coffee maker/drinker and this is perfect for those times I want cold coffee quickly without worrying about Dilution. The stainless steel doesn't taint the coffee (or liquid of choice) when chilling. The ice stays frozen even with freshly brewed hot coffee and the cooling chamber is perfect for my ~300 mls of coffee I make. The chiller is quite large so bare in mind it may not be the best option if you have limited freezer space, but it is fairly lightweight even when filled with the ice and coffee. Overall, a great product that I highly recommend!

So far works great. Other reviews have shown their chiller to break, but might is going strong. Just be sure to not overfill it because when freezing it can expand and break. It'll drop scalding hot coffee to immediately drinkable, or shaking for longer to make it almost ice coffee cold. Can be a little big with how the container is set up.

I bought this BEFORE seeing it had a 2 star review and reading stories of it cracking after just one use. So in the week or so it took to arrive to me I had developed a plan. I didn’t fill the ice compartments all the way and have kept it upright in my freezer. After a week of everyday use, sometimes twice a day- it hasn’t failed me and I am a big fan.

The lid cracked within a week of daily use. I would brew the coffee in a cup and not directly on to the lid. Inspite of that, the lid cracked. They should think of making the lid stainless steel as well! Or offer replacement lids.
