One Year Review: Very High Build Quality, Durable, Excels in Most Food Processing Tasks
Update after a year of use: I am still very happy with this food processor, especially its durability and reliability of operation. It excels in most (but not all) food processing tasks. Hummus/similar dips: 10/10, no problem running the machine for 5-10 minutes Kneading: 10/10, same as above Emulsions: Mayonaise and toum come out great. The orifice in the plunger does a good job of drizzling. Its also easy to remove the plunger and drop things like ice into the smaller chute, which it tall enough to prevent splashing. Slicing/shredding: 8/10, good for a food processor. if you need finer/more precise results you'll need a mandoline or a sharp knife and time The only real weakness of this machine is milling/mastication: 6/10, The machine is unable to masticate herbs, nuts, and cheese well, e.g. pesto. I think there is too much space between the bottom and sides of the blades and the container for these tasks. The only processors I've used that excel in this area are smaller processors that don't justify the kitchen space. My workaround has been to mill, grate, or masticate these items before placing them in the machine. To be clear, you'll get a usable final product, but manage your expectations. First impressions of the machine are quite positive and I'll focus mostly on the build quality. Build: Well into the realm of "I didn't think they built stuff like this anymore." Very high quality injection molding throughout. The motor is well balanced: very quiet in operation compared to other food processors i've used and very little vibration noted. You can see forging and work hardening lines in the stainless steel attachments. No signs of warping in the lexan. Very good loose interference fit at the feed tube plungers. Overall the industrial design and workmanship of this unit is on par with Zojirushi appliances or Kitchen-Aid mixers. Ergonomics: I like simple food processors. This one is simple in operation. On and off/pulse with high leverage switches. Perfect. The locking mechanisms work well so far without needless faffing. I wish the smaller feed tube was a little larger. The larger feed tube disengages the motor so operations like adding tahini or other messier items slowly have a higher chance of spillage or require a spouted container. I'm suspicious about how easy it will be to trap gunk around the locking mechanisms. I'm also suspicious that there isn't any sort of loading mechanism to keep the chopping blade in place. Ease of cleaning: The manual recommends washing all pieces in the dishwasher. I don't have a newer dishwasher with neat little compartments to keep blades from being knocked around so the chopping blade will get hand washed. I'll update the review to assess how the lexan holds up from several months of dishwashing. I'm not a fan of the stainless steel fascia the machine has since I'd rather have white plastic appliances for their ease of cleaning and smaller visual weight. Power and results: The first thing I made in this machine was a large batch of hummus. Outstanding power and very quiet. The results were extremely smooth. I think I'll be able to knead dough or make a fine pesto just fine. I'll update on milling uniformity, grating, and slicing when I try those.

Pretty decent food processor
I like the size of the bowl. What I donโt like are the a little channels with the spring in it on the side of the lid and the bowl. Absolutely impossible to clean. The bowl also feels flimsy and itโs kind of difficult to close the lid on the bowl. I was expecting the motor part to be more heavy. While I was making dough in it I have to hold it down. This is second food processor as I replacement for the first one, which I used two time for a cream cheese spread and the third time I wanted to use it, I could turn it on. And everything was locked in a place. I was very disappointed, this is not a cheap machine. And the return window is three weeks , I had the processor for four weeks already. Amazon was very good, after speaking to the customer service they made an exception and replace this faulty product. I hope this new one will last. Still itโs nothing to compare to my old Kitchen aid food processor which I still have after more than 30 years and it still works, just seems to be a bit slower. But the motor base is a lot heavier that the one for the Cuisinart and the bowl also made of more sturdy material. It easy to clean, easy to lock the bowl and the lid to the motor bottom. Unfortunately it seems like all the new stuff is made to last just for a short timeโฆ.

The iconic kitchen workhorse
I finally got rid of my old cuisinart food processor after many years of use. That one was smaller, so I decided to replace it with this larger (14 c), more powerful version. So far, I love it. Here's my take: - It did a great job shredding mozzarella using the disc (food processor bowl picture), and a decent job of grating parmesan using the chopping blade (pink bowl picture). - I don't have a dough blade, and I had some trouble making pizza dough. I honestly think it was an issue with the recipe rather than the food processor. I will try again with a different recipe. - I think most of the reviewers who had trouble latching the lid were putting it on backwards. - I don't mind the feed chute being on the back of the machine, opposite the buttons. My old processor was configured the same way, and I never had a problem. - This is the same model that is recommended by America's Test Kitchens. All in all, I am quite happy with my purchase. Let's hope it lasts as long as the last one did ๐ค.

Best food processor for multiple uses.
I use my Cuisinart 14-Cup Processor nearly everyday and often multiple times a day especially when making pizza. I can make the dough, sauce and toppings using the same tool. The user's manual is very helpful and has a variety of good recipes to get you started. Making dough for bread, pastry, pasta, and pizza is so much easier with this processor. Clean up takes some time, but once you get a process down, it is well worth it. All parts are dishwasher safe. Be careful with, and respect the blade! It is extremely sharp. Never reach into the work bowl to remove things like dough while the blade is covered or otherwise not visible. Because of the blade's shape it it easy to mistakenly grab it, touch it or cut yourself. Use the spatula provided to remove process and make sure the entire blade is visible before you try to remove processed dough, food or the blade. This processor is my favorite kitchen tool!!
