It’s a plain watch. No frills. I took it to a pool and water park....Still works like perfect. The light is not overly bright and you can see everything perfectly and doesn’t blind you in the middle of the night. I work in telecommunications and do an assortment of movements and the watch get banged around and it’s fine. It’s not my Apple Watch so the strap is a lil harder but it’s a regular watch that tells time. Let’s face it if you're gonna do time laps and crazy stuff then no this watch is crap. If you want a plain watch that looks neat with a great light to tell the time that can take day to day abuse and because of the price you don’t really care about it....Then congrats this watch is for you. This watch has become my daily.

Right off the bat, this watch is fantastic! It's comfortable, stylish, has an interesting display, and is NOT as big on my wrist as I thought it would be. The thing you hear the most about G-Shocks is how big it looks on a wrist. Hopefully, the pics that I've uploaded will give you a picture of what it may look like on yours. My wrist size is 7.25" and the DW9052-2 (the blue watch and what this review is written for) fits nicely. It's dial size of 45.5 mm clocks in as one of my larger watches. I thought it would look huge, but it really doesn't in pics or in person. I've put another pic comparing the sizes of 2 of my other watches side-by-side (NTH "The Mack" at 40 mm, G-Shock "Rescue" Red G7900A-4 at 52 mm), so you can come away from my review with a better picture of 'Little Blue's' size. Comfort = 5/5 I've worn this while sleeping, kept it on overnight, took it off for my shower, then put it back on for a 5-day repeating cycle. The watch's 'rubber' feel is so comfortable and the weight so light, that I often forgot I had it on...almost. It's such an interesting watch to look at, I kept on wanting to look at it! Looks = 5/5 Yep, it works on all counts. This is not only a FUN watch to wear, but is a dang good looking one to boot. There's no mistaking its 'G-Shockiness' and on a good-sized wrist (IMO, 7"+), it'll never look overwhelming. I'd say you could even have this look good on a 6.5" wrist, too. The seconds counting character is interesting, too. From the way the middle bar counts from 0-10 seconds, and then adds a block to the 60-second 'circle' for every 10 seconds counted, to the functionality of the stopwatch and timer functions, this category is all good. Finally, I've included a picture that shows which notch I use to wear it comfortably on my wrist. The nice thing about the 'rubber' band is that it doesn't have to be on a 'skin tight' notch to stay on. I like to put my watches on with a little give and this is easy to do with the DW9052-2. However, if you wanted to notch it more snugly when you're being more active, you can easily do that and the watch will still feel good on your wrist. Functionality = 5/5 The DW9052-2 has everything you'll need for daily wear. Alarm (4 settings), timer, and stopwatch brings the functionality for an every day watch home. And, the positive display keeps the numbers and characters on the dial easily visible in any lighting situation. The "G" button lights up the screen well in darkness and it's always very easy to read with no imbalanced LED lighting going on. Transaction = 5/5 Amazon came through with their usual top notch delivery timing and packaging care for the DW9052-2. This is certainly not my first rodeo with ordering watches from Amazon and this transaction was completed with my usual expectations of a 5-star Amazon transaction. I hope my review makes it easier for you to decide if the DW9052-2 is a good fit for you. Amongst my considerable watch collection, this one has already become one of my all-time favorites.

The watch has a cool, rugged design that’s functional and stylish, and it’s been a hit since he opened it! It has all the features he’s been looking for—water-resistant, durable, and just the right size. Plus, it’s easy to use, making it a great everyday watch. It was a great find for a gift, and I’m glad I could surprise him with something he really loves. If you’re looking for a reliable and practical gift for someone, I highly recommend the Casio DW9052. It’s a win every time!

I wanted to add a new watch to the collection as a reward, and I decided to choose this watch after doing some research on what would be a great watch to buy next. I ended up selecting this one, the G-Shock DW-9052. I wanted the one with the OG colours (the black with red & white lettering), but it was being sold for a slightly higher price. Upon receiving the watch, it arrived in perfect condition. As for the watch itself, I’ve only had it for a few hours now, but I am quite impressed with it. It only has the basic features, with a singular alarm with hourly chime, a stop watch, and countdown timer. The alarm volume is just right. This one has an electroluminescent (EL) backlight, so it hasn’t been phased out of this watch (yet), unlike other models. So it doesn’t have the premium features found on the 5610U, 9400, 5000U, etc. This watch surprisingly fits quite well on my 6.5 inch wrist, if not, it fits the best on my wrist out of all my G-Shocks. I was surprised just how comfortable & secure it feels to wear this watch. It seems like the watch is a combination of past models, with the case width being reminiscent of a square, the thickness of a 6900, and the buttons, straps, and the fit of a 7900. The buttons are very easy to press on this watch, with the adjust button not as recessed as other G-Shock models. The backlight button is also right underneath the display of the watch, making it very easy to press, similar to the backlight buttons found on the 6900 and 7900 models. The display is nice, but it may be too small for some people that have eyesight problems. As for the overall design, it won’t win any awards, but it’s a nice rugged design that’s more than capable of taking a beating on an everyday basis, wherever you may be working. The gold accents are a nice touch. In addition, just like any other G-Shock, it tells time great. Also, I think with its size, it’s good watch for both men & women to wear, as it’s not too big and not an overwhelming presence on my wrist. Overall, I’d say this is a great watch that’s worth giving a try.
