This is my second purchase of an automatic cleaning, barrel type litter box. My first unit is a Famree. I've had it for years, and it works very well, so I thought I'd buy the same unit for our new kitten. Unfortunately, I could not find that unit, so I ended up with the Fumoi. I didn't have high hopes on this machine. It was half the price of my original Famree, after all. I freely admit I was totally wrong. This is an amazing box. It is quieter and 10 times easier to clean. The old box dribbles used litter when the bag is removed from the collar. I have ended up sacrificing a vacuum to keep that mess cleaned up. Not a single granule spilled cleaning the Fumoi. It cut my cleaning time in half. I also like the ability to remove the top and pour litter in directly. I do wish the Fumoi had a ionic deodorizer cycle, but for the price difference, I can buy two whole room units. My cat loves it, and has no problem jumping into the box, and he's only 14 weeks old. The scale feature is not reliable, but that is a minor issue for me. The cycle cleans well and removes all clumps. I use Tidy Cats Lightweight litter. Tracking litter out drives me nuts, but a muddy mat in front of the box stops 95 percent of that. That is a litter issue, not a box problem. All around, this box is well worth the money. I'm thinking of replacing my other Famree unit with the Fumoi, too.

Actually glad we bought this! I was hesitant at first, but honestly it has worked so well for us! I will say, you definitely need to use clumping litter! Hahaha we did not use it at first and we were wondering why the smell was so bad, but definitely was because we were not using clumping litter! The only downside I can see is the litter mess. Since there is no flap/anything over the entrance, our cats will fling the litter out every time the use the bathroom. Not unusual or new, but we have to sweep/vacuum the area everyday. Not a lot of work if you have a cordless vacuum, but I could see it being a lot if you didn’t have that. Overall though, 10/10. Smell is kept inside, and clean up is super easy. And they give you lots of bags to start with!! Very convenient!

I only got a cat because my twin girls begged for one. I was scooping daily and it’s just not a fantastic experience. It had added to my daily chores and took from my day. I immediately ordered the automatic litter box. It altered my daily life for the best. It functions just as it says, easy to clean, my cat never had any issues switching. There is no noise and on the plus side, it’s very efficient on your litter usage. No waste! I was so happy that I talked my two sisters into buying one for their homes. They as well are super happy with the money they spent. If this one broke today, I’d go buy another immediately.

We have 4 cats and have been using this litter box for about 5 weeks now. So far, it has worked really well for us, and we have not needed to keep another litter box in the house. Setup only took a few minutes. We did have a little trouble getting it working initially, but once we got everything set up correctly, we haven’t had any issues. The biggest difference for us has been the dramatic reduction in litter usage and odor. Compared with our previous traditional litter boxes, we are using much less litter, and the odor is WAY down. With four cats, that is a huge improvement. It has also been great not having to constantly scoop multiple litter boxes throughout the day. our four cats (2 young, 2 older), have all adapted to using it without any problems. We did have a few weeks of overlap where we had both the automatic box and normal litter boxes available, but slowly removed the regular boxes to encourage use of the automatic box. We now only keep the one automatic box for the household and have not had any issues with mess, smell, or usage. Overall, we’ve been very happy with it after five weeks of use and would definitely recommend it for a multi-cat household.

Awesome litter box. Quality parts, self cleaning and above all litter tracking. This is one product that every pet owner should have. It solves many problems and It’s amazing here’s why: 1. First it’s all automatic self operating and cleans itself automatically 2. it eliminates the smell that becomes a real issue especially if the litter box is placed in a contained tight place inside the house like a laundry small room. Because poops drops in its enclosed bag there s no smell left in the open space where cats do their thing. 3. It’s sanitary because it cleans itself automatically just amazing 4. No touching and no coming in contact with pets poops 5. This litter box is WiFi connect and has its own app where you can even track your pet activity 6. A built in bonus that comes with it different color lighting inside the box for your pet enjoyment (wish I have that in my bathroom) 7. I am an old school person and truly amazed and happy that my daughter ordered this for our two cats Love it ….

This box has made a huge difference in my life and the ability to leave the cat with a house sitter much more pleasant. It also uses way less litter--Arm & Hammer Slide is the one that works best. My cat was fine with it immediately and it works well most of the time. The empty function has never worked from the button on the box, only on the app... and the box does fail occasionally to clean itself, and it takes a while for me to notice because it's in the basement. I have a cat who never cared about a filthy litter box, but I'm surprised that he still keeps using it. I put a camera on it, so I can see into the box--it's easy to tell if it's quit cleaning, because the litter isn't smooth, and it seems to only need one manual clean to reset itself back to cleaning automatically. I think it's only happening after I change the bag. It does create an activity when it hasn't been used in a while, which is not the case--it's just not registering the cat in there-- but for some reason that doesn't show up as a notification from the SmartLife app. Again, mostly satisfied, you just have to keep an eye on it. It's my first automatic litterbox and it's game changer--I'll never go back to a regular box, but I won't buy this one again, I'll try a different brand and maybe an open one.

At first I thought this was better than sliced bread. Purchased June 2025. Cats adjusted no problem. Worked like a charm. Four months later, litter mat started leaking. It had slashes from cats doing their scratching/burying thing! Customer service directed me to buy replacement on Amazon. Whaaat!? No apologies. No offer to replace. No taking responsibility for poor quality/manufacturing defect. Nothing. Fine. I got over it since replacement mats were far better and I didn’t have to scoop daily. Time marched on without incident. Status in the app would intermittently be stuck on “cat entering”. Happened when I set off sensors to make it stop part way through emptying so I could scrape off stuck litter and brush stray litter into drawer. Once empty cycle completed, removed/replaced drawer to put in fresh bag. I was unaware that it didn’t reset itself. Status lights on actual unit stopped blinking. No notifications from app. You may ask how I discovered this? The smell emanating from the accumulating clumps on inside on litter mat! This is self-cleaning, right!? Notifications are selected/turned within app and phone settings. No temp banner. Nothing in Notification Center. No badges. One must use app to reset. Unplug/plug back in doesn’t always work. To sum up, it’s annoying. I deal with it. Cats are using it. Still not pulling the trigger for Litter Robot. Does spending $600 guarantee flawless operation? Good luck if you decide to buy this model.

so happy with this litter box! It has greatly reduced the amount of cat litter cleaning and scooping that I do with 3 cats. I have had it several months and all of my cats use it and like it. it is not very loud and easy to clean. It is large but I keep it in a laundry room and no one can see it. I love that I can use the app to see how much my cats weigh and how often they are using the litter box. it is a pretty basic app but it is great for the price! It does tend to waste a lot of litter but i simply toss the clumps from the waste bin into the trash and pour the unused litter back into the unused litter box every 2-3 days. I do not waste a bunch of the bags that way, either. It is an awesome litter box.
