See below for a few tips!
I used these to hang patio lights on a metal railing. At first I just put all the clips on every couple feet and thought it was as easy as that. But once I hung up the lights, I realized that they wouldn't hang tight and the bulbs would bang against the railing when it was windy and break. So I had to order another 20 pack and totally redo it.If you are hanging yours tight as well, look at my first photo for reference of how to hang them! FIRST put the Command strip on the plastic hook and trim excess, then put the light string on it (I put the hook right before the light and that kept them very tight and unable to move in the wind), and LASTLY stick it to the spot you want it in. I did this all the way along my patio and now from the front I don't have to look at the light cord and they don't move. I cut off the excess sticky part so that it would look clean once I realized that the pull strip doesn't work if I want to get them off anyways (you can easily move them if you mess up at first but after a few hours they stuck to that metal hard and I had to use scissors pry the ones I messed up on off). I am curious to see if they'll survive a Colorado winter but good for now!

Great Product
Holds our string lights super well. Easy to open packaging and put on wall. High quality, last long time. Works well with hanging stuff on the walls.

Extremely durable clips for exterior use
I attached five 48' exterior light sets to my vinyl fence using these Command Clips which are made for outdoor use. Everything has held up great so far, even through all the rainy weather we have here in Florida as well as the recent Hurricane Elsa. Haven't had to replace any clips, and the light strings are fairly heavy. They are not hooks but are actually plastic clips that you pop the light cord into. Once I installed the clips on the fence following the instructions, I waited about 30 minutes to make sure everything was stable and then attached each string of lights. Attaching the clips is a little tedious as you have to apply pressure on each one. Once that was done, installing the light strings was a piece of cake. Very easy to attach to the clips. Love that these clips have been so durable in the heat and the rain. I already purchased more clips to use for other outside projects.

Strong adhesive, secure clips, easy to install once you pull the tabs off the adhesive
I bought these to hand holiday lights on my newly installed smooth, white Azek trim boards around my house. I could not bring myself to drill the Azek for hooks and then look at the hooks for 11 months. The Command strips blend in a lot better than stainless hooks and can be easily removed.Pro- Seem very secure - I followed the directions, cleaned the surfaces with alcohol, pressed the clips in place for 30 seconds (that's a LONG time with 64 clips!) and then waited an hour to hang the lights on a 55 degree, sunny day- They blend in on white trim really well- Hold the multiple LED bulb wires securely- Easy to relocate with a new adhesive tabCon- The adhesive tabs REALLY need a little tail that extends beyond the adhesive itself on both side of the adhesive tab. Pulling the tabs off 64 adhesive strips was a real chore. That's the rationale for my 4 star review and the fact I don't know how long these will last outside.I don't know how long these will last if they are one season and done, it's sort of an expensive and epic fail because I was moving a ladder for a hour on a two story house attaching the clips 20 above the ground. Time will tell and I'll report back after I see how they handle light removal and cold temperatures

Great for outdoors
These are perfect for our outdoor string lights. I sprayed and wiped the wall with rubbing alcohol before applying the hooks. They’ve been on for a week with no issues.

Not in original packaging, does not adhere.
Received these in a bag, placed in another bag, not in the packaging pictured. Cleaned the vinyl siding where lights were to go up, as directed, using rubbing alcohol. These command strips are terrible quality, and did not hold up at all!!I’m not sure if I was sent a returned item; I use other command strips around the house and I’ve never had this issue. I will remove the few that did stick and plan on returning this.

Invisible Wizardry to Make Decor Possible
I had a vision for how I wanted to decorate the venue space for my daughter's baby shower. It was a huge project but I needed just the right command hook because I couldn't leave anything on the walls of the venue. My goal was to hang about 75 paper lanterns across the pavilion space. These were the perfect hooks because they held the tension while also locking the hemp cord in place. The pictures are of the room with the paper lanterns hanging. But that would not have happened without these hooks.

Great Clips but Only in the Right Conditions
I have always loved Command Strips and use them for everything. However, I’m not sure if they’ve recently changed the formula or what, but the last 3 or 4 times I’ve purchased them I’ve had several in each package just not be sticky at all. In this instance, I kept having the same problem in the same spot, and as you can see from the photo, I was NOT hanging anything even remotely heavy with them. It turned out that because I was hanging something in an above the fireplace alcove, it was slightly warm and humid in the space and they just REFUSED to stick. I eventually used a fan as I applied them to those spots and it did the trick. But I have been using them in this part of the country for the last 7 years and never had this problem until recently, no matter the weather (I haven’t even TRIED using them outside yet), so I really do feel like the quality of the product has just gone down. Sadly I think I will be trying an off-brand next time.
