My children are allergic to casein, gluten, synthetics, artificials, etc** A: Ingredients listed on the package: Dehydrated Purple Yam **Q: Does this taste like yams when added to things like quick breads and pancakes? Thanks so much for your time in answering.** A: I use purple yam powder to make a purple, (as opposed to red), velvet cake. The powder adds texture but no distinguishable taste. It has the texture of finely whipped potatoes when liquefied by adding water and cooking. **Q: what is the ingredient list? can't see them from the picture. please list the ingredients bec of allergies. thanks** A: "Ingredient: Dehydrated purple yam" from the package **Q: How many cups are in a package?** A: This product is powder, and, therefore NOT measured in fluid ounces. In grams the product weighs 115g which yields 4 ounces of weight NOT volume Only 8 FLUID OUNCES OF VOLUME (236.5ML) = 1CUP So, it only WEIGHS 4.06 ounces, or ¼-pound. I'd compare it to either 4oz of Ground pepper or any other finely ground seasoning. 16 Tablespoons of fine powder would be slightly more than ½Cup (½C = 15Tbsp +2¼ tsp). This should be considerably less volume. Even the package isn't large enough to hold 16Tbsp. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product for ube mochi waffles *by R***A on September 4, 2025* I added this to the Trader Joe's mochi mix for added flavor and color.
