Encaustic- Heat Up Your Art! Exploring Encaustic Techniques DVD

Sorry to say that I find the DVD boring as heck!I have tried three times and I still haven’t been able to watch it to the end as I fall asleep. The lady who does the demo has a monotonous way about her which puts me to sleep. I have had numerous technique DVDs before, and have almost always watched them in one sitting, and have always enjoyed them. So far, the best thing about this one is the brightly painted cover, which I guess made the DVD look appealing.In fairness, I haven’t finished watching yet, and there may be some good info in it, but getting to it is hard work. I really don’t want to be too unkind, as I’m sure I wouldn’t come across as a star in front of a camera, but seriously, it could have been done with a bit more life. There are far better You Tube clips out there, and they are free. I know $10 isn't a lot to pay, but even so.Sorry my review couldn’t be a glowing one.

This is a very good video explaining in detail how encaustic paints are made and used. Highly recommend especially for a beginner like me. Really good instructional video if you will.
