Works as expected

purchased the NEEWER Cold Shoe Cover for my PA045E Bluetooth Shutter Side Handle Grip because I wanted a more stable way to take photos and videos on my iPhone without relying on the on-screen shutter button. Having a physical button reduces the risk of camera shake and makes it easier to snap photos when using my phone in a rig or mount. The cover fits perfectly with no movement or looseness once installed, and it pairs seamlessly with the iPhone using Bluetooth. The build quality is solid, especially for an ABS + PC plastic accessory, and the physical button feels responsive. When not in the camera app, pressing the button adjusts the volume, as it’s mapped to the iPhone’s volume down function, which doubles as a shutter button in the camera app. This straightforward approach works well, and the setup has been flawless for my needs so far. One downside is that it uses a cell battery, which cannot be recharged. I haven’t had it long enough to judge the battery life, but it’s something to keep in mind, as the battery will eventually need replacing. I've only tested this with an iPhone, so I can’t speak to compatibility with other devices, but it has worked exactly as expected. I'd recommend it to photographers or videographers who prefer a physical shutter button when using a camera rig or case, especially if they want to avoid reaching for an on-screen button. Works perfect paired up with my handle for my cage. Being able to angle the handle makes for better shots and doesn’t have me squatting down in awkward positions while also trying to tap the screen for a photo or video. Definitely highly recommend!

I have the NEEWER 16 Pro Cage PA073 that I have been using with SmallRig bolt-on handles. However I did not like the hassle of adding a top handle to my rig when all I wanted to do was shoot some "B-roll" video. The reason I purchased the handle (PA045B) and this bluetooth control separately was at the time the two prices added together was less than the kit with the control and I have a "dummy" cold shoe plug if I need it. I also have the rechargable SmallRig bluetooth handle however I prefer this control because the coin battery will last a long time and it is always ready to go without having to remember to charge the handle. I also like the convenience of not having to have a dedicated handle. With the cold shoe mount you can attach this anywhere on your rig. It is very convenient for getting yourself in the frame for rote shots and to start video.
