How many come in the jar?

I can't remember but I rehydrated these and used the whole jar in an asparagus and morel sautée for an 8-person dinner party. I wouldn't say there were copious amounts of morels but it was enough to make it work.

Once reconstituted, I don't see why not.

Do these still have spores? Any life left to propagate

No. You have to purchase those separately.

This company sells morels in both 1 & 2 oz. jars. The larger jar costs $20.40/ oz. while the smaller one costs $14.99/ oz. Is there a reason why?

Because one jar has 2oz. of mushrooms in it and the other one has 1oz. of mushrooms in it. It's a better deal to purchase the 2oz. jar.
