Works great! I have been dealing with those suction cup attachments prior. This should have come with the radar detector at purchase. I wish I would have known about this great device sooner. Buy it! Sticks on tight! A game changer.

A little bulky but in the end this item worked out pretty well. Because of the bulkyness it was har to find a good spot on the windshield that was high and out of the line of sight. The mirror played a part in the 'hard to locate properly' dilemma because the suction cup and radar detector would not fit above the mirror where it used to be with the two little stock suction cups. So now it fits just under the mirror, still fairly out of line of sight, and seems to be rock solid. The suction cup holds like glue. It comes covered in plastic so no dust on the gel pad. Clean glass windshield are with denatured alcohol or similar and lock it down. Make sure you have it placed well before final lock down so you don't have to move it. Also, I see what others are saying about the vertical ratchet type adjustment and not being able to get the radar detector perfectly level.....like it's either angled to high or to low. For that problem you can bend the metal bracket itself to achieve the proper fit.....just be careful not to break it and you won't be bending but a half a degree or so....just to make it fit level. Boy, once installed and in place and all tight it's locked in good.

I bought this this replace the small metal two suction cup factory version mount for my beloved Bell V995 in a work vehicle. The original my the dectector vibrate badly against the glass. I have the original version in several other vehicles and it works fine just the angle of the glass in this minivan makes it vibrate. Firstly this mount shipped fast and arrived in perfectly new condition as I would expect. The mount itself is robust and well made with one big easy to attach suction cup. The part that extends into the dectector is made of plastic where it should be made of metal, metal coated in thin rubber preferably for silence. As others have stated I question the long term life of the plastic part in this one spot as it does flex, while the rest of the mount is awesome and rock solid. I have had the mount for several months though and no issues, even installing and removing the dectector every week day. I did have to put a small piece of ribbon over the part that inserts into the dectector to silence it but this could be the vehicle vibrates more than most. If they upgraded the insertion piece this is 5 star all day long but as is it is still better than most and I think the insertion part would be easy enough to fabricate at home if needed so no worries. I would recommend it

I have a Passport 9500ix radar detector that I've had for about 13 years. It originally came with a double suction cup mount with each little cup about the size of a quarter. It failed eventually and I got some replacement suction cups, which only lasted 4 years. So I looked around and between my GPS, my dashcam, and my iPhone mount, the two things they had in common was a large single suction cup with the lever, and that they all held. So I bought this new mount, poured a couple of drops of rubbing alcohol onto the cup, and squashed it onto my freshly cleaned windshield. You'd think it was welded. When I missed my first spot, I had to wrestle with the new mount to get it to release so I could try again. The second shot was a charm! I cannot comment on durability yet as I've only had it for a couple of days but I will say it seems to be sturdily made. I'm a happy camper at this point.

Does exactly what a mount should do, sticks firmly to the windshield and holds the detector steady without any wobble or drooping over time. Getting it on and off is easy which is super convenient when you need to swap it between cars or just take it in for the night. Really solid little product for the price and I would not hesitate to buy it again.

The product didnt work great for the location i wanted my radar detector. This was no fault of the product just the location i wanted it mounted at. The seller was great to work with and would recommend them to anyone.

Update, I got the second one. Works great, as the first one, strong connection to the windshield.
