Turns deep red when baked - gorgeous. The other reviewers are right, the clay is very fuschia/pink prior to baking. Trust the process.

Worst purchase I've made in a while. Let's get into this Let me start by saying I have been using polymer clay for a while. I saw a few folks using this specific clay brand and wanted to try it. Well Cernit on Amazon was a big mistake. The quality is so sub-par it doesnt deserve any stars and here's why: 1. It was dry 2. It was far more hard than ANY of ther brands translucent clay 3. Cannot be conditioned at all in any way I tried every trick in the book and all I got was a crumbly mess. There isn't anything you can do when the clay is so old and dry but toss it. Well I am returning it and getting a refund!

Many of these reviews comment on how dry the clay is. It is harder than sculpey and it really takes time to condition it. Don’t assume that there is something wrong with the clay- just give it time. Hold it in your hand to warm it up and slowly start kneading it. Add liquid clay if you need to. It is SO WORTH IT. There are no other translucent clay options that I have used that come even close to Cernit.

The translucent was good. The clay was hard.

Please read this before you purchase. If you are buying this for little Billy to make a school project DONT. Just don’t. This clay is stunning but be prepared because conditioning it is a nightmare. Do not buy this if you do not have a pasta roller. I have an electric pasta roller and this took me 2 1/2 hours to condition to make it usable. according to the package this is a new block of clay. And just to be clear this is a 2 ounce packet and I conditioned half of it that is with adding conditioning drops if you want to use this, it will be a labor of love because it’s beautiful, but just be prepared. 2 1/2 hours.

did not come in it's own package. looked like someone cut off a piece from a bigger block and wrapped in plastic wrap. highly sketch.... no idea what I got... from what I read about cernit transparent I expected a different texture in the clay so I have no way to know if it was cernit or something else. that being said, the clay was semi-transparent and did well in the items I made from it. I'm still not sure I'd repurchase being there's no way for me to know if I got what I ordered.

New update 08/15/2025 - I ordered one of these for my wife a few days ago, it came quickly and was good clay, soft and pliable. She misplaced it, so I said it would be easier to order a new one which I did. It came today hard as a rock, totally unusable. I see they came from two different sellers. so the second seller must have a very old inventory sitting around. I hesitate to order this again because you don't get to choose the seller when you order. ' My wife uses this stuff a lot and has for the most part liked it, but lately she has noticed that the consistency of the product has been sometimes different. The last one she received was very light and fluffy making it nearly impossible to use. I ordered another one for her today, we'll see how this one is.

Just to note, although the pack colour is hot pink, when cured in the oven this turns a beautiful ruby red. Nice clay to work with!

A little bet hard to soften to workable conditions.. otherwise excellent product
