Similar to a product from Fire Mountain Gems that costs considerably more per ounce. Great product, especially if you can use it outside or in a well ventilated area.

You can reuse the remaining solution, just pour it back into the container. However, as there is no tarnish protection, the silver will soon tarnish again. So, the best thing to do is polish the now tarnish free item with silver cream with an inhibitor, and since the tarnish is gone, it take just a quick wipe on, rub, and rinse to protect the silver.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I have a 60-year-old handmade copper bucket that has never been cleaned in 60 years.  will tarn-x pro remove the years of built up tarnish?**
A: Not in my experience with the product.

**Q: what is the difference between tarn-x and tarn-x pro?**
A: Tarn-X Pro is stronger, usually used by commercial vendors, such as hotels on hotel silver plate, etc. If you use it for home use,make sure to not leave it on very long and wash and rinse the item,s very well before polishing. I'm a high end caterer and I use a silver polish after cleaning with Tarn-X and Tarn-X Pro. Flatware is stored in silver chests and all other pieces such as serving trays, punch bowls, coffee serving urns, etc are stored in soft cloth bags or pillow cases, then sealed in big plastic bags until used again. Flatware is usually cleaned twice a year and bigger items as needed.  There are other products that work as well or better, but only come in very small bottles and it is very expensive to buy and store enough qty to use for dipping.  Note:  If you are storing misc big items in dish hutch for display, you may have to clean more often, lighting will show up tarnish.  If you have more questions, contact me through Amazon

**Q: Will this product have a negative impact on my new brass kitchen sink hardware while rinsing? For the quick dip I will use a container.**
A: Our product should only come into contact with those precious metals as stated on the label of the product.  It can stain other metals/finishes when rinsing.

**Q: Is it safe to use on sterling silver with turquoise?**
A: While our Tarn-X Tarnish Remover is safe to use on sterling silver, it should not come into contact with certain gem stones/materials such as turquoise.

I can’t say enough about this stuff. Melts the tarnish right off. I clean silverplate and silver items with it and it is just so effective, saves hours of time you might spend using just a cloth. Just remember to wear gloves when using it because cleaners like this are caustic. Also open a window close by because there are some fumes but not really bad. I love it, price is very reasonable. Large economy size as well. If you have a yellowish or whiteish tint when finished, use a tarnish cleaning cloth to remove the residue.
