Uproot Clean Washing Machine Cleaning Tablets Ultra 40% Stronger, 24 Pack

These Uproot Ultra Clean Washing Machine Cleaning Tablets are amazing! I was a bit skeptical that they could remove the dog hair and grime from my front-loading washer, but they have made a believer out of me! I hate musty-smelling clothes, so I am diligent about cleaning the seal and running the cleaning cycle with an Affresh cleaning tablet once a month. However, it still had hair and grime trapped in the seal after the cleaning cycle, and by the second week, it always started smelling musty, even though I don't use fabric softeners or anything that would cause it to get dirty so quickly. After running one tablet of the Uproot Ultra, my machine was visibly cleaner, had no dog hair or grime still trapped in the seal, and actually smelled clean. It is now the second week and it STILL smells and looks cleaner compared to the same schedule as using the Affresh tabs. So, if you have long hair, dogs, cats, or furry children (LOL), you need these. They are a little pricey compared to the Affresh tabs, but totally worth it!

I was skeptical, when you see manufactured hype surrounding a product like this you do a bit of a double take. However, my front loader has smell I could not get rid of despite many cleaning cycles. It needed a purpose made cleaning product so I went on the hunt and found Uproot. How do I say this... I think this may not actually be some recent break through, it's likely been a known solution for years, its just currently being rebranded and relaunched as a miracle cleaner. However... I don't think this is miracle product pricing and I firmly believe it does what it says. Mine took two treatments back to back and my front loader is perfectly clean and the musty smell is gone. The stuff works and a 24 pack should last you for many years to come. Highly recommend.

This stuff is great. I have a huge shedder. At 80 + lbs this girl sheds a cpl of dogs a day. This is the only cleaner that keeps my washer clean and free of smell. I do make sure to get the hair out of the plastic Sleeve around the front load tub and I also try to dry the space and keep the door cracked to keep from getting a nasty ring. But this is the cleanest my washer has stayed in a long time.

Each series of photos shows before cleaning cycle, after but before wipe down and after wipe down. The dustpan pic is of the drain plug clean out and the rag is what I was able to easily wipe off of the gasket. It’s been a while since I had cleaned my washer with anything because nothing really worked and it was getting a funk so I thought I’d give these a try. They did seem to work better than other brands that I’ve tried. The little drain nozzle did have quite a bit of gunk come out. Nothing really in the filter itself. We also lost power for a few hours mid cycle so maybe it would have worked even better if went through a complete cycle all at once. I was worried about the scent that might be left behind because of family members with sensitivities but there isn’t much at all. It just smells fresh. Overall, I’m fairly satisfied with it. I’m going to try it again today just to see. It would have gotten 5 stars if the goop coming out of the drain looked like it does in the video but it just wasn’t that satisfying.

When I smelled the washer after using this, I didn’t notice a difference - and I was not happy. A few days later, I figured I’d run another tablet through just to see what would happen. Nothing. Washer still smelled musty. Several days later, I again stuck my head in the washer and….what was this? Not quite as musty. Hmm. Ok - let’s do a THIRD tablet. After the third tablet, my washing machine actually had a slight pleasant smell. What?!?! I’m shocked. Then I realized that my washer probably needed extra attention since it’s been over five years since I bought it and my household has included three dogs and two cats. 😆 Moral of the story? BUY THIS. It really did work. But, give it a chance if you don’t notice anything a few days after using a tablet.

My laundry had started coming out of the washing machine with an unpleasant odor that I noticed as soon as I removed wet clothes, towels, or blankets. I was beginning to think it was time to replace the machine, but that just isn't in the budget. After doing some research online, I learned that detergent residue, grease, and grime can build up in parts of the washer you can't easily see. We live on a hobby farm and care for multiple dogs, cats, horses, sheep, goats, and a pet pig, and our 3 year old grandson also lives with us, so it's no exaggeration to say our washing machine handles a lot of heavily soiled laundry. I had occasionally used the washer's self-cleaning cycle, but it clearly wasn't enough to remove the hair and greasy buildup. After just one use of these tablets, the drum was sparkling clean. I'm sure the valves, pipes, and filter aren't completely clean after years of washing filthy farm laundry, and I did have to wipe away a fair amount of loosened grime from around the door seal. However, the bad smell is completely gone, and my clothes smell fresh again. It may be my imagination, but I think they look cleaner too. These Uproot cleaning tablets are incredibly easy to use and cost far less than repairing or replacing my washing machine. I plan to run another cleaning tablet through the washer next week before settling into a monthly maintenance routine. Based on my experience so far, these tablets really work for my front-load HE washer, and I appreciate that I don't have to worry about harming my septic system.

I was ready to purchase a new washer. My clothes and blankets smelled like a damp, misty cottage or wet dog. I tried everything, other tablets, bleach, wiping down the washer between every load, only washing in hot water, steaming, extra rinses, short cycles, putting detergent in with the clothes, 5 different detergents, only using vinegar, baking soda, and everything else online! I took parts out on my front loader and cleaned everything with bleach. Nothing worked! I stopped buying moisture wicking clothes as those were the worst. I only wore cotton. Small things helped but only for a short time. As soon as I would fold clothes or hang them up with others for more than a day, the smell would come back. I used these tablets and everything changed!! I did have to use 3 in a row and then 1 every other day for the first week. But the smell started to disappear. I can use regular detergent in the dispenser now. Even my husband asked what I did because he was at a loss after taking apart pieces and cleaning it himself. I will continue to buy and use these!! What a life saver!!!

Please do not go into this with the expectation that this will be a one and done, then maintenance only process. If you are like most people, you will have paid little to no mind about maintaining the health of your clothes washer. You always see the pet hair on the dryer lint trap. Never really gave any thought to what was going through the washer. The washing machine is about 7-8 years old, cleaning cycle completed every six(ish) months, and has provided cleaning for at least two humans and up to five cats at any point in time. I dropped one tablet and ran the clean cycle as per the directions. It talks about foaming up. Not really. It was a little bit of a let down. The first attempt was not all that effective. Dropped one more tablet running a second cycle using normal and hot water selection. Okay, starting to get some progress. It was not until I dropped two more tablets and ran a third time using the sanitize cycle that there was a noticeable difference. Now, I’m just doing the monthly clean cycle with one tablet and it seems to work great. The tablets do their job scrubbing away the behind the scenes gunk, though it may take a few times depending on your water situation, what laundry stuff you use, and build-up already present. If you use a front loading setup like I do, be sure to clean the rubber seal before first run. I missed this step the first time.
