GoveeLife Upgraded Water Leak Detector with 105dB Adjustable Alarm, 5 Pack

I originally ordered one set just to try them out. After installing them in all six of the bathrooms upstairs and seeing how well they worked, I immediately placed a second order to cover the entire downstairs as well. Installation was incredibly easy. I also tested the sensors myself, and they are very sensitive to water. Since there are sensors on both the top and the bottom, they detect water whether it’s dripping from above or spreading underneath. As soon as water is detected, the alarm is loud enough to get your attention immediately, and I receive a notification on my phone through the app. After experiencing a major water damage incident in my home, these sensors have given me so much more peace of mind. I can’t recommend them enough. When you’ve spent well over $100,000 recovering from water damage, spending a couple hundred dollars on water leak sensors feels like one of the best investments you can make. These are true lifesavers.

Great little devices. Very effective in my opinion. I placed them under every sink, toilet, laundry room, fridge with water line, anything that could leak. My wife accidentally spilled water while cleaning under one of the bathrooms sink and the alarm went off immediately. On the device, on the gateway and on the phone app. The set up if pretty easy with easy to follow instructions and adding other sensors is also pretty simple. Unfortunately I didn't get any discounts from my home owners insurance but I don't mind, I like the peace of mind that this devices provide. Water damage repairs can be very expensive for the price of these I think their are worth it and if the battery last as long as they are advertise I wont have to worry about them for 5 years.

Put these under my sinks and near the water heater. I hooked them up to the hub so the connection stays steady, and I haven't had any issues with drops or offline errors. The app was quick to set up and makes it easy to keep an eye on them. The alarm itself is surprisingly loud, so you'll definitely hear it if it goes off. Battery life has held up fine so far too. Good cheap peace of mind to catch leaks before they turn into a mess.

I can’t recommend these enough—they’ve been an absolute lifesaver. I placed them under a few sinks, and recently the one in my upstairs bathroom went off because the seal around my faucet had started leaking. It was just a tiny drip, and I never would’ve noticed it without the sensor. Not only did it sound an alarm, but it also sent me a text and a push notification through the app. These sensors are incredibly reliable and give real peace of mind. They can even be set up with Alexa routines, or if they detect a leak they could take certain action such as turning off your air conditioner.

Very nice product. Setup was good. Adding sensors was easy. Ran tests and all worked as expected. Range is great. Loud alarms. Integrated with Alexa. Notifications to app and Alexa work great; tells you what sensor detected a leak. App is good and you can name each sensor. Great system.

I installed these after a friend recommended them; this system saved him a lot of damage by detecting the a leak quickly. Installation was easy within wifi range. The week following installation the system detected a small amount of water in my crawlspace. No damage but a good test. This is one of those things you hope you never need but will be very thankful to have if you do.

Even though I like my current Govee water system (a gateway and 14 sensors), I'm leaving a poor review. Here's why.... One of my older H5054 (1 year battery life) sensors stopped working, so I jumped on Amazon to get a replacement. I found that there's this new model with a 5 year battery life - yay! So I bought a 5 pack as it was much cheaper per unit than just buying one. When trying to connect it to my gateway, it wouldn't work. Upon researching, I discovered that the new sensors will not work with the older gateway. Ok, not great...but a new gateway should resolve that issue. I'm willing to purchase a new gateway and then will (over time) replace the older sensors. So I jumped on Amazon to check out getting a new gateway...assuming it would be backward compatible with the older sensors. NOPE!! The new gateway only works with the new sensors!! So, I would have to replace all 14 of my sensors AND the gateway!!! That's just horrible. At the very least - you should be able to use the older sensors with a new gateway. I'm not gonna spend $150 for a new gateway and all new sensors. Do better.

Great product! Works well! Set it and (almost) forget it. Has a 5 year battery included! You can check the charge of the battery. AAA batteries if need replacing. 107 DB loudness - can hear all over the house. Has an app you can download to get a notice outside of home.

They were easy to set up and seem to work well. I bought this model because of the five year battery charge. I hope that that will be correct. Be sure to get the right hub that is compatible with the right sensors. I like the fact that you can set up alarms for your email and get a text alarm. You have to go into the settings with each sensor and turn on the capability to go to your email and your text. It doesn’t happen automatically. The sensors are ultrasensitive. One of the alarms went off in my air conditioning one day later because there was some condensation from the cold pipes. So I Put an aluminum pan under the pipes to catch the dripping, and put the sensor slightly beside the pan so that it won’t pick up this minor dripping, which is not a leak, but rather normal functioning of the air conditioning.

Govee is the best . I have 24 in my house mainly after flood 2 years ago. Very sensitive to even minor leak. Give you rapid alert on several devises and by email.

These water detectors work well and connect through the Govee app very easily. They integrate nicely with Alexa or Google Home. However, for Alexa, it detects the device as a door sensor rather than a water sensor, probably because of Amazon and Govee itself. If you have multiple of these water leak detectors, you have to create a routine manually for each of them to announce that it's leaking. The alarm is very loud; you can hear it all the way from the basement to the third floor. It also alarms on the hub if you have one in your home. It's a great buy and keeps your home safe.

Pros: Provides great peace of mind and security. Very easy to set up and link to the existing system. Seamlessly integrates with the 3-pack + gateway I purchased earlier. Cons: The 5-pack sensors do not work as standalone units. I’m very happy with my Govee water sensors. I initially bought the starter 3-pack with the gateway and later added this 5-pack to cover more areas of my home. The setup process for the new sensors was quick and painless. My only caution to new buyers is to be aware that these particular add-on sensors must be connected via the Govee gateway. Overall, an excellent investment for home protection.
