Some missions are not a choice. On a dangerous assignment to recover stolen plutonium, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) chooses to save his team over completing the mission, allowing nuclear weapons to fall into the hands of a deadly network of highly-skilled operatives intent on destroying civilisation. Now, with the world at risk, Ethan and his IMF team (Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson) are forced to become reluctant partners with a hard-hitting CIA agent (Henry Cavill) as they race against time to stop the nuclear fallout. There’s never been a threat more destructive or stunts more jaw-dropping than in this film that critics are calling “the best Mission yet” (Jamie Graham, TOTAL FILM). Review: One of the best action/adventure movies of last decade - Mission: Impossible - Fallout (Blu-ray) Absolutely the best Mission: Impossible installment. I am a great fan of the whole Mission: Impossible series, but I can say that this one beats all the previous movies. Amazing cast, including old IMF team: Tom Cruise as Ethan Hawk, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn and Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, as well as Henry Cavill as August Walker, Sean Harris as Solomon Lane, Alec Baldwin as Alan Hunley, Rebecca Ferguson as Elsa Faust and Vanessa Kirby as The White Widow. Screenplay is very good, special effects are stunning, sound effects as well as music are great. Even the car pursuit scenes are memorable (BMW e28!) and everything is spiced with a bit of humour typical for MI series (especially Hawk & Walker or IMF team scenes). Highly recommended to buy a Blu-ray version due to the clear picture, superior sound and to watch with a good sound speakers setup to have a proper feel of this movie (by a proper feel, I mean the depth of sound, especially low tones with just a moderate overall volume being enough). Simply, one of the best action/adventure movies of last decade. If my recommendation is not sufficient, it should be enough to say that Mission: Impossible - Fallout received numerous award nominations and won several awards, including a prestigious Saturn award for the best action/adventure movie. Great product! Review: The next level - I thoroughly enjoyed the extra depth and perspective this gave. The mountain scenes, the helicopter chase and fight on the ledge were so realistic, it made the palms of my hands sweat, as i am not keen on heights. The extra dimension to this film made it even more spectacular than it is. I was enamoured of the entire extra dimension which made a fab film a fabulously spectacular film. Heres hoping for more mission impossible in 3d.

What a ride!
A super popcorn flick from start to finish, great action and stunts. It's good to see the lead man actually do the stunts as well in this world of CGI we currently live in. The chase scene in Paris is more thrilling than all of the Fast and Furious films put together. Yes there are a couple of continuity error's and logic gaps but hey, it's not a documentary. I loved the sound design, I don't have Dolby Atmos but on my 5.1 setup the sound was expertly mixed with the dialog clear at all times and the effects whizzing round the room. The soundtrack is also superb. It was nice to see they wrapped up the story line involving Ethans wife. James Bond wishes he was Ethan Hunt :). Disengage brain, relax and enjoy.

One of the best action movies of the last decade
Without doubt, Mission: Impossible Fallout is one of the best action movies of the last decade. The stellar cast includes franchise returnees, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and Sean Harris - from Mission: Rogue Nation, and newbie Henry Cavill, who was made for this role. This movie has a slightly darker tone than others in the franchise, and it's all the better for it. There's a double agent, a fiendish plot and bags of action. Despite its running time, the movie moves at a fast pace. There are fantastic stunts and set pieces, especially the dramatic skydive, and the finale helicopter chase, which is edge-of-the-seat action. It's so tense and dramatic, and is one of the best action sequences in the Mission franchise. The visuals are stunning, the music and suspense are foreboding and tense throughout. There are a few unexpected twists and double crosses as Ethan Hunt and his team set out to save the day. Highly recommended! The Blu-ray quality is fantastic, the sound is excellent, and behind-the-scenes and bonus features all add to the excellence.

Excellent!!!
The 4K ULTRA HD Blu Ray disc version of this film has greatly improved sound and picture quality over the standard Blu Ray disc version when played through a 4K ULTRA HD Blu Ray player and a 4K ULTRA HD TV with HDR (High Dynamic Range). Also this is a lovely package!!!.

Mission: Impossible - Fallout Blu-ray
22 years in and making quite possibly its best instalment yet? Not all action franchises can say that, but not all franchises are powered by Tom Cruise’s increasing determination and commitment to doing the kind of physical stunts almost every other actor would leave to greenscreen and CGI. This time around, Hunt and the team end up trying to recover three devices which (as always) fall into the wrong hands. And stopping the bad guys will take some spectacularly choreographed sequences involving planes, cars, bikes, helicopters and anything else you can think of. The visual scope of ‘Fallout’ is the by far the widest and most beautiful yet, with global locations taken advantage of in pursuit of the spy-jinks of the plot, while a large cast is (mostly) juggled competently across the film’s runtime. Although the plot largely focuses on playing as a more direct sequel to the plot of ‘Rogue Nation’ than previous films have done, there are many nods to the series as a whole, including a nice one involving one character which goes all the way to the first film and the final settling of one major relationship which has existed since the third film. By journey’s end the whole film almost serves to really pay regard to just how long Cruise (and Hunt) have been at this game. And yet, that the adventures may still continue. Extras are OK, with three commentaries (including director Christopher McQuarrie and Tom Cruise), 55 minutes of short featurettes focusing largely on achieving the key action sequences of the film, and then some bits and bobs (deleted scenes montage, trailers, etc).

Insurance companies nightmare
Not just the best MI movie, but the best action movie of 2018 The story isn’t lost in the link between one great action sequence to another. The fight scene in the toilet a particular highlight with Henry Cavill “reloading” his arms for round two!!! The fact Tom Cruise does his own mental stunts and after breaking his ankle for real on the roof jump........keeps on running to complete the shot!!!!! Either a true pro or a nutcase....the answer is probably a bit of both And I haven’t started on the helicopter sequence yet....that Mr Cruise is also flying An insurance companies nightmare but an absolute treat for movie goers wanting realism and not green screen cop outs Just watch the movie and enjoy!!!!

too long with tons of action and little story but very fun to watch
I loved the original Mission Impossible TV series as a teen, and have grown to like how it has been transformed for the movies. Aside from the original Tom Cruise Mission Impossible movie, most of the sequels were a bit disappointing for various reasons. But this latest sequel does its best to recapture the feel of the original Mission Impossible TV show while retaining the unique characters and personalities of the modern movie. It is nice to see the little tape recording describing the mission before destroying itself and listening to the old theme song. And the frequent masks used to impersonate others is a throwback to the old TV series, too. Where Tom Cruise and company have taken this Mission Impossible movie is into the realm of almost non-stop action. The story is pretty basic and overused: the bad guys have stolen nuclear material and plan to blow up parts of the world. The good guys have to find the stolen nukes and disarm them before this can happen. It weaves bits of the previous Mission Impossible movies into the story line which will be completely lost on anyone who either hasn't seen the prior movies or forgot them. There are several twists and turns in the story, especially early on. But this movie was not made for the story. It was made for the action, and there is lots of it. The James Bond franchise has been built by putting bigger and more elaborate stunts in each movie. Tom Cruise has taken this concept and put it on steroids for Mission Impossible: Fallout. Not only are the stunts fantastic to watch, but you feel the tension, and you see Tom Cruise actually performing his own stunts, even the ones any other movie franchise would relegate to stunt doubles and/or CGI. Cruise truly deserves an Academy Award for his stunt work. The movie is far from perfect. The story is a bit difficult to follow in parts, especially if you don't remember details from the prior movies. You have to completely suspend belief in reality for some of the stunts as Cruise drives a motorcycle into a car, falls from over 2 story heights, and crashes in a helicopter with seemingly none or little injury. The length of the movie is too long, almost 2-1/2 hours, and even though the action is thrilling, by the end of the movie you're wishing it will come to an end soon. Overall, Mission Impossible: Fallout is a great sequel in the series, a lot of fun to watch, and a great popcorn movie to spend an afternoon or evening watching. Buy this blu-ray disc, though, because the extras showing Cruise preparing for and performing the stunts in the movie are equally interesting and fun to watch. Tom Cruise is getting older, and it won't be long before he will be physically unable to perform the physical stunts he has done up to now. He is an actor truly committed to the task of creating a fantastic movie experience, and we will likely never see anyone else come close to the stunt work he has performed as an actor to enhance the realism.
