Great Phone all Around
I got this phone as a replacement for an old Panasonic phone. Its functionality and design are greatly improved. It was easy to set up. The sound is great. I love its special features - call waiting, blocking unwanted calls, phonebook, and the option to adjust the sound volume. Setting up the primary phone automatically sets up the secondary phone with identical features. The intercom allows calling people in other parts of the house. No more running upstairs or hollering. We love it! I'm glad I bought an updated version of a similar Panasonic phone that served us well for many years.

Sending this thing back!
This phone is awful. The so called light (for the screen and also the number buttons) is so dim it can barely be seen. The sound of it is bad too. Every time we have talked on it, the people keep telling us they can't hear us clearly. We have to repeat and repeat what we say to get even the most simple things understood by the person we are trying to talk to.

Not entirely backward compatible
Got this just for the handsets to replace older, dead units. Searched by the old model number and this came up. The new handsets will fit in the old base if I push a little. However, the old handsets will not work on the new base units. Clearly a case of planned obsolescence. The new handsets are a slicker plastic, I prefer the feel of the old handsets. Ultimately, they do the job so I'm not unhappy.
