Great for managing electric wiring when retrofitting old fixtures.
Replacing electrical outlets and switches can be a chore in a 40 hour house. These make it much easier to manage wiring when replacing with Decora style outlets and switches. Recommended.

Good idea, but tricky to fit
Great idea for a non-electrician DIY type. The main issue is getting them to fit in the outlet box once you’ve also added a pigtail. The slimmer, inline ones are fine though.

Ideal connectors accept stranded and solid wires. Also, they take up very little room.
These connectors are easy to use and solved my problem.I tried to install three smart switches to control my outside lights. The electrical boxes are filled with twist on wire nuts which do not leave much room for the smart switches. The smart switches are too wide and deep.To make a room, I replaced all the wire nuts with Ideal connectors. This freed up quite a bit of room for the smart switches.Problem solved.Also, the ideal connectors except solid and stranded wires with no problem. Solid wire in the electricalbox and stranded wires from the smart switches.
