Screw drivers weren't really necessary in this kit but the other tools and glue made this a simple replacement. Just note that I did have to add a scrap piece of carton against the back of the pcb in one ear bud as the the left over adhesive + glue wasn't giving enough pressure to keep the board pressed against the battery

Worked perfectly for my WF-100XM3 earbuds. Note: there are no instructions, so find a how-to video on YouTube.

So far the batteries are working and charged to 100% Will see how they survive after a year

The adhesive was all dried up so I’m assuming this was sitting on a shelf for a while. I swapped out the batteries with no issues but the earbuds are dead. I think the batteries are really old as well?

Phenomenal kit. Batteries are better than the original. They charge fast and hold a charge great.

Works good! don't know yet to how playing time will work. I liked the kit tools, I only used 3 items and the glue. One thing I noticed those batteries are 0.27wh and the origional batteries are 0.29wh which means less 7% capacity nothing thats change thei performance.

The kit is fine. Baterias are very good. Tweeters are not strong enough, maybe could be better. Glue is fine. Final result is what I was looking for.

Easy to install and they have lasted about 6 hours on my wf1000-xm3

I bought my Sony WF1000XM4 earbuds back in December 2021 for $350 CDN. Since they were so expensive I thought they'd last a long time. I really liked them but after about a year one of the earbuds would last only about 15 minutes before the battery died so they became pretty much useless. I didn't realize it at the time but apparently a firmware update from Sony cause battery issues with these buds which killed them. These dead buds have sat in a drawer for almost 4 years since late 2022 until I bought this battery swap kit and now they're back from the dead and fully functional again. The batteries were surprisingly easy to replace, taking maybe 10 minutes for each bud. Haven't really tested them long term yet to see how long they last but so far so good.

Replaced the battery on my WF-1000XM4, and it went super well! The batteries themselves seem solid and worked right away. The included tools are okay, but not the best quality. I’d recommend using a thin metal tweezer instead — it makes the job much easier. Important tip: Be extra careful with the tiny ribbon cable and the locking connector — they're super fragile and can break easily. If you’re not getting power after reassembly, check that the top PCB is making good contact. In my case, I used a tiny dab of super glue to keep it in place, and that fixed the issue. Overall, great value and a solid replacement kit if you’re comfortable doing delicate work.

Batteries are great. the replacement procedure is simple but of course hard with all the small parts. They do give you everything you need but the tweezers are bad build quality
