Our previous "salt" system was a nightmare. I'm pretty sure it wasn't working at all. We were having to add liquid chlorine several times a month. Finally bit the bullet and changed to the CircuPool. Awesome choice! We didn't add any chlorine at all last year. "Wish I knew" before I installed: I tried to "protect" the cell by mounting it under the deck. Bad idea. You have to disconnect the cell to clean it (typically a couple times per month) so put it somewhere easy to get to and put valves on both sides to make cleaning much easier. Also, go ahead and order the cleaning stand thing. One last thing. This year, for whatever reason, the critters decided to chew the wires for both the flow switch and cell.
