RD-140 - Forward Collision Radar and Lane Departure Warning System

I bought this directly from Safe Drive (and i recommend you do the same, hint, hint). True to their claim, the installer came to my house and installed the system in my driveway. We then went on a test/calibration drive, during which the installer fine tuned its operation and even set the lane departure warnings to exactly how I wanted them. This system has paid for itself many times and I highly recommend it. I opted for the older style display that mounts on the steering column v. the newer one that mounts near the rear view mirror. If I were to make any change, I would have the display mounted on the dashboard such that the lights would reflect off the windshield and create a pseudo-heads-up display.

Although I did not purchase the RD-140 from Amazon, I did purchase it directly from Safe Drive Systems back in 2017. The forward radar unit was mounted underneath my front license plate, as behind the front grill did not work. No issues with it being underneath the front plate on my Yukon. The display was mounted on the left side of the dashboard. Happy with the product, no regrets. Note that this unit does NOT automatically brake for you. You have to brake after being alerted by the RD-140.
