Devrom Tablets (Internal Deodorant)200Mg 100Chewable Tablets Review: Internal odor - They really work!!!! Review: How to time deodorant intake to neutralize offensive flatulence - I am 74. At age 42, I had rectal cancer. Intestinal bypass surgery removed my rectum and substantial portion of my lower large intestine. For 32 years I have had often uncontrollable and smelly gas usually not predictable by onset. With no rectum, sphincter muscle is the only control - works sometimes, but other times not strong enough. Generally, I can control, or leave a crowded area when I feel need to let gas. But, becoming an airline crew member three years back changed that. I need to protect fellow crew members and passengers from uncontrolled smelly gas when I cannot hold it. Takes 48 hours from food intake to bowel movement - gas likely travels faster through tract. On my repurchase of Devrom, plan to take one or two tablets every 8 hours beginning 48 hours before I report for a trip - which is usually 60 hours in length - and then at 8 hour intervals until release at trip completion. I usually avoid eating immediately before I begin a trip and also on the trip while flying because I notice a gastric reflux activity (e.g. gas) can occur within 10 minutes to an hour after solid food intake but not after liquid. I will run an experiment with second bottle of Devrom just ordered and update this comment or provide new comment with result after observation. My theory is that by knowing my bowel and gas characteristics learned over last 32 years, I can time my intake amount of an internal deodorant to minimize, if not eliminate offensive (sulphurous) flatulence. I am also experimenting with activated charcoal tablets (which absorbs sulphur gas), but that is a separate experiment. I do not want to mix the two experiments since I won't know how to score the result. Please comment with your results and suggestions from your surgical experiences that may be similar to my intestinal bypass surgery.

How to time deodorant intake to neutralize offensive flatulence

Excellent product that will save you from being embarrassed
I was first introduced to this product a short time after undergoing gastric bypass surgery (GBS). I don't know if this happens with all types of GBS, but it was not uncommon for people who had the Roux-n-Y form to go through a period approx 5-8 months after surgery where you tend to be gassy. But by far the worst part was the smell. This is not your standard unpleasantness. This is the smallest little fart will clear a room in seconds. Yes, it is THAT BAD! So embarrassing. You don't want to go anywhere and even your closest family is begging you to move into the basement. Someone in is support group recommended this product. I'd never heard of it previously but was desperate to find anything that would help even a small amount. So I took a chance. WOW! What an amazing product! It completely removed the odor. Not a little like I was hoping for but completely. Do not exceed recommended dose (you won't need to - I only required approx. 1/2 the daily max.) I have a doc that tells me too much buildup of bismuth is not good for you - she is OK with me using it so long as I do not exceed the daily max. But like I said, you won't need to. Great product. Gave me my life. Suddenly I could go out again with out worrying that I might be charged with using chemical weapons and causing mass destruction. WELL WORTH THE PRICE!'

Not really workingn
Either I didn't give it enough time to work or it didn't work for me. However, I'm on a medication for a condition that it may not work well with. I'll try it again when I'm done with the medication.

Nearly perfect for those with surgically altered digestive systems.
For most people, this product might seem to be a joke, but not to people like me. I am 26 years old and had a Whipple procedure 5 years ago. (Look it up if you aren't familiar with it.) Long story short, I had pancreatic cancer and am now missing 40% of my pancreas, part of my small bowel, my gallbladder, and 1/3 of my stomach. This is a massive surgery, I was told it's the most advanced surgery one can have short of a transplant (not sure if that's true or not) The end result is positive, my tumor was entirely removed. However, I am left with a very nasty and embarrassing side effect. HORRIBLE smelling gas and bowel movements. Not only that, but they are frequent (think passing gas every 5-10 minutes and 3-5 bowel movements a day) I take pancreatic enzymes to help manage these symptoms but they don't completely fix the job. This is a problem that has gotten in the way of me living a normal life. I can't imagine sitting in an office or enclosed space all day while exposing my coworkers to my smell. My girlfriend is an angel for putting up with it. I ended up discovering these tablets and let me tell you, they are ALMOST a life changer. I say almost because they don't fix the problem, and they don't completely eliminate the odor, but they help a LOT. I usually take around 6 per day (I take 20-25 enzyme pills per day) and as long as I am consistent in taking them, things are significantly better. The price is pretty fair, considering my enzyme pills are nearly $10,000 for a 3 month supply without top of the line insurance (Which I pay dearly for and are still $200 per refill.) I recommend this product especially for people who have surgically altered bodies and feel like living a normal life is nearly impossible because of nasty side effects. This sounds really silly, but I nearly teared up when I passed gas after using these for a few days, and didn't feel like the paint was going to peel off the walls. Like I said, it hasn't solved the problem, but it has made it about 80-90% better. I'm very impressed

Nice breathes after taking this pill
On a thread post a girl said she use this to clear the smell of stomach acid, so that she can go out dating with fresh breaths. I tried and it really works. better than any chewing gum.
