Call of Duty: Ghosts - PlayStation 4

I've heard the problem players had with the game was TTK being so fast and health regeneration being so slow, along with the default maps not being good at all. If you go into options you can set default health at double and regeneration to fast. Download the maps from the DLC pack and you've got hours and hours of repeatable fun and endless options. The sheer amount of options is enormous, lets say you're tired of getting one shotted by shotguns? turn all shotguns off. Tired of getting sniped? turn off restrict all sniper rifles. You can restric certain loadouts, perks, barrels, sights, just about anything. I've played on local games and local multiplayer versus AI bots even on veteran difficulty and also playing squads. Yes the game is difficult and yes the AI is so good it can be very frustrating. Squads is where the game really shines, build your squad, customize everything about them and bring them into battle. The DLC maps are so much better than most of the regular maps. These are some of the smartest AI bots I've fought against in a game. Playing Modern Warfare remastered while a great game your gun choices, perk choices and options are very limited. IMO the multiplayer and squad aspect of team deathmath, free for all, etc blows those idiotic AI bots in black ops 3 right out of the water. I skipped the campaign portion of this game. As for the DLC? choose your DLC carefully, some is worth it, some is not. The standout dlc maps are Bayview, Fog,Ignition,Unearthed, Collision, Departed (for sure maybe even one of the best dlc maps) I think maybe people disliked this game because of the difficult aspect of it and the low TTK timing. I've been shot and killed so many times without even be able to get off a shot back or even turn around. This game is notorious and infamous for getting shot in the back I kid you not I think it might even be programmed into the game that when you fire off shots or kill an enemy the AI comes to your exact location ASAP right up behind you, shoot you in the back and kill you without you ever even hearing them. (which is why the amplify perks is so important)Keep in mind the AI bots hear everything even from across the map you'd think you were an elephant to them, so dead silence as well. It's just too bad you can't turn off the dam music, if the could patch that? that would be fantastic. The other reason I think people may not like the game especially versus the AI is the AI has X ray vision can shoot and kill you without actual line of sight (like seeing thru walls or cover that you can't. The AI can spot you, even if you can't spot them. I can't write a review about online gameplay with ghosts since I haven't played any of the cod titles online only local/lan. FFA with 17 bots is just total fun insanity. Its also extremely fun to try and find the best combinations of loadouts, perks, etc it really is a lot of trial and error and different combos for different maps.

I'm a big Call of Duty fan. My first game into the series was Modern Warfare 2 and ever since then I've been hooked. I've played both MW games and both BO games and I've always been partial to the MW series, so when this game came out I was hoping it played more like a MW game than a BO game. Well it seems this game is a good blend of both. It has the strike packages that I LOVED from MW3, but has a BO feel to the game play. I do love how there are more places to catch your breath. What I mean by that is that on BO games I feel they have taken away any places to hide for a few seconds. It always seemed like you were in the line of sight of someone no matter where you were, but on Ghost's there are plenty of places to retreat too after surviving a fun gun fight. This game does a great job of deterring camping too with some of the perks and streaks that will showcase those guys hiding in corners. All in all if you have been a fan of the COD series the past few years then this is for you. It's familiar enough to be able to pick right up and have a good time, but different enough to keep you on your toes figuring out which perks and guns fit your play style. If you're looking for a night and day different COD game then keep wishing. I'm glad they keep with what works. If you want a different game then try BF4 or KZ, but if you like smooth game play and a familiar system then stick with Ghosts. Great game.

This is definitely a very underrated game! I know saying that you like Call of Duty today will get you a funny look from the gaming community. I think we have to remember at one time Call of Duty has some very great games and this is one of them before the Call of Duty hate train started. I will say that the only negative thing I can say about this game is it feel like a greatest hits compilation. It just feel like they took from the modern warfare games and Black ops games then just mix them together. I'm not saying that's a bad thing I'm just saying it it just feel like they could have been more original and it left everything on a cliffhanger with no payoff. As writing this review there hasn't been taught for sequel to this game just hearsay for now. The game is fun and it's definitely worth a buy. I loved it on the PS3, but the PS4 version in parts feels like a totally different game... and in a good way. The level of detail and design is terrific and really does ruin the game on any other platform. The soundtrack was terrific, and voice acting damned good, and the graphic overhaul of the weapons and reticles is first rate. The campaign itself may be a bit polarizing for some people, but I absolutely adored this game, campaign and multiplayer alike. And squads??? How did this not catch on??? All of the fun of multiplayer with non of the obnoxious players and their scrub tactics. That, for me, was a real win-win. Of course the operations and real XP are in multiplayer, and for that you have to go online and swim with the scrubs. And of course that means you'll have to deal with some dimwit sitting in a corner with an M27 or Kastet just waiting for you to happen by, but that's the price you pay I suppose? At any rate, this game introduced enough joy (Guard Dog, Maniac, Marksman Rifles) that I am sure it will age well and be appreciated by those who don't need to Exo boost around a map to feel like they are accomplishing something. I hope there will be a Ghosts 2 and I hope it is made in the same vein as this one, soundtrack and all, because this one is just a joy to behold.

Really fast shipping with one day shipping. Ordered around 10pm and received the game just before noon the next day. Haven't had a chance to play it yet. Waiting for my ps4 to arrive tomorrow. Can't be disappointed it's COD!! Heard positive things about it, looking forward to playing it. So basically the game itself is pretty fun. If you like COD then no doubt this is a must have if you want to play it on a PS4, seeing as it is the only one available at the time. Overall an improvement from previous gens. Game is pretty similar to other COD games. If you are looking for something that is the top of the line graphics then maybe go with a different game. If you want the newest version of COD and have enjoyed their games in the past then you know what to expect. I am happy and probably will stick with only one COD game for the PS4 until they make some drastic changes to the game where it's completely different from GHOST. Don't feel like paying for almost the same game with minor changes to it every year or so. Will instead explore other games and put the money towards that.

I own and have played every COD game there is. I think that this is the worst COD game there is and MW3 was pretty bad and right up there. I say this because, most of us purchase these games to play online... and these two games had a re-engineered lag compensation code that favors folks with horrible internet connections. So, if you have have 5MBPS down and 1 up... you will probably be the best player on this game in mutiplayer since you will be like a god- these will be the folks on here saying that this game is great. For folks like me, who pay a rather big chunk on my high speed internet, I get hosed in the meantime and get no fun out of this game as I cannot do what the objective of the game is " get kills". IW and the developers, need to take a step back and realize that this is the last breath of the COD franchise... I will not buy another... so good luck with you pre-orders! Another problem with this game in multiplayer is that the size of the map and horrible spy plane replacment makes it easier for the corner campers to sit and wait for someone to go by... between those guys and Hackers ... you won't be having any fun. yet another probem is the while that graphics are okay, that game is very dark color-wise, which again benefits corner campers as you can't visualize opponents as well as you could in other earlier COD games. But hey ... what do I know it's your money!

As of the moment I own the PS3 version, & the only reason why I had to buy a new game was because a used copy nearly messed up my PS4...Overall while this game was a flop in so many ways, that pales in comparison (to me at least) to Black Ops 3. Even having said that, I feel like the hype train for Ghosts derailed the moment most people put this game in. I even saw a guy crush a disc with his bare hands because he hated it so much even saying "Just in case I change my mind...", not even considering taking it back to the store to get his money back or sell it/trade it in. A couple of things I didn't like about it was the drab color, how running felt so slow & even a bit too realistic (because in other COD games I often felt like I was running faster, even if I didn't have the Extreme Conditioning perk), the long as hell maps (because I refuse to play the sniper map Stoneheaven, even though I ironically won a game of Squads on that map once...), & how the DLC maps (especially for Safeguard mode) where hard as hell to figure out (& some where just plain bad...), how Safeguard mode had no mini map & the enemies were super quiet only being seen by orange outlines (or if in my case you saw them enter the building you were hiding in before hand), even the choice of name tag color & character outline of blue & orange - I just didn't get that choice, not being able to see who has the worst connection because there were bars next to names... The list goes on really... But there are still things to appreciate about this game. I love how they did try out a new zombies-like game mode, Extinction. Did it make since, not really, but it was still fun to try out. I even got a bit better on PS3 & got pretty far before dying which was quite the achievement for me. I also loved the DLC weapon called the Ripper, & I would learn overtime how & when to use the different modes for it (& mostly because my opponents would often switch to pick me off near with SMG mode or far with Assault Rifle mode...), & most importantly - it was boots on the ground. Say it with me - Boots On The Ground! That's what we've been freaking missing for way too long! I just quit playing Advanced Warfare multiplayer because of the different movement, it was a bit too much for me to keep up with. And while I may struggle with this game, I can still do way the hell better in it than AW or BO3. This was even the game where I found that I could have some good conversations with friends & opponents alike, (running into the occasional douche here & there), but definitely enjoying whenever I played with people in Safeguard mode. Overall while this game had its many flops I still had loads of fun with it. Now I can't wait to take it to the PS4 & hopefully have better connection with online play.

Good quality and worked fine. Game is also quite entertaining and rich in story.
