I picked up this Picatinny rail riser to give my red dot sight a bit more height, and it worked out perfectly. This can make swapping scopes mechanically fast. I have used it as a medium riser for my Red dot pistol scope. The square key locks the rail in place with no chance of a shift during shooting. The rail can not be removed without pressing the lever release switch. I face the lever to close in the forward direction and be aware that it will add a bit of weight. I have not tried switching a site from gun to gun using this device but it could be done. I am fairly sure you will need to redo the site each time you mount it to a gun. But, if you have more guns than scopes it will be useful along with a quick way to set up the site such as with a bore laser.

I recently went up-tier on a couple of 1x optics, and I want them to move between builds. They did not come with any sort of QD device. This is now it.It has a squared recoil lug and, with the very positive QD setup, it re-mounts an attached optic to the same zero. I like this a lot. It seems heavy to me, but I have nothing to compare. Very satisfied.
