Correct height for LR308 with gas block rail
Couldn't decide between a 4 and a 5 star rating, felt 5 was appropriate based on price. Sight is nicely built, seems strong but I haven't tried to break it or knock it around. It lined up perfectly on my DPMS LR308 with its gas block rail that lies about 3/8 inch lower than the rail on the upper receiver where I have a standard height rear sight. Getting an adjustment tool between the "ears" was a little tight at first but I hadn't used this type of sight before so I'll put it off as a learning experience. I had to make a couple of adjustments at the range and didn't have much of a problem after a little practice pushing the pin down while turning the post. It's some type of metal so I'll not worry about it melting from the hot gas block.

Great iron sight but measure your rail first.
I chose the gas block version and it is perfectly aligned with the rear iron. The popularity of DPMS style blocks was short lived for a reason. The sight itself is very solid and looks clean on the rifle. I like the oversized thumb nut and it helps with quick swaps. The gas block wasn’t squared properly causing an offset so I had to make adjustments.

Great site, better price.
Bought a front sight for my DPMS Oracle not knowing the gas block was lower than the front rail. Found this as a replacement for very little cost. First three rounds were a bit off but nickle sized grouping. More than happy.

Only giving it 3 stars because with the big bolt it literally doesn't fit all the way on the gas block because of the hand rail. Could've made it an Alan bolt and saved this issue. People order this because obviously they are using a handguard that doesn't mount duhhhh. Just a not so smart giant bolt

Pretty good sight old school
It was better than I expected being trained old school on the M16A1 and M16A2

Disappointment!
Well, really disappointed with this product when I received it and after overlooking it a discover it had a bit of rust and scratches on it. But what mostly annoyed me is that the sight post does not rotate. I have the appropriate tool for it, but it does not work. It’s like seized or something and the amount of money I paid for it kinda bs I think a got some reject.
