Spigen GlasTR EZ FIT Screen Protector for Pixel 9a

Usually I buy one of the least expensive tempered glass screen protectors...yes, in my experience, they all protect the screen. The one I got with my Pixel 9a was not cheap, but was an optional freebee with the phone. unfortunately the glass shifted over time and the little hole for the selfie lens was no longer aligned. This was a continual irritation. I thought I would try this protector. It was a little more expensive, but was from Spigen. They make the case I use (which I really like) and part of the description is that the protector is made to fit their cases well. The system Spigen uses for applying their screen protectors is amazing. Each protector comes installed into a frame that is used to align the protector and the application process was completed quickly with only minor bubbles on the edges and no visible dust particles. The tool that is provided to work on air bubbles is very comfortable to use and seems effective. Watching the video online really helped, as the process is different from any that I have used up to this point. Spigen also included videos on dealing with air bubbles and dust particles after applying the protector. The best part is that the protector is slightly larger than the one I was using, so it fits the screen better...very close to the edges of the screen and the Spigen case I am using. Additionally, this screen protector does not have a hole for the rear facing camera. No alignment problems! I don't expect the glass to affect photo quality as it is clear and close enough to the lens to be out of focus.

I got this because my Pixel 9a's screen developed very light surface scratches that would catch the sunlight and become visible at specific angles. I wanted to prevent more scratches from forming. The protector application was very simple. The phone fits right into the mold, and there are stickers that help guide you through the entire process. There were some bubbles after attaching the protector, but the included tool did a good job of rubbing the bubbles out. It was flawless after that. Since applying the protector, I also haven't been able to see the scratches on the original screen. I don't know if it's just that I'm somehow just missing them now. It's a nice bonus, though.

Comes with two screen protectors. Installed the first one and the installation was easy and very clean with no bubbles and good fit. It looked good and didn't interfere with the touch sensitivity of my phone. The protector cracked in less than 24 hours. I removed it and the next day tried installing the second protector. When I began to smooth it out I found that the glass was already cracked. It must have been cracked in the box. I wish the protectors were good because the rest of the product was great. $18 for almost 24 hours of phone protection certainly wasn't worth it.

Seems decent enough. Install process was fairly simple, should be durable enough to protect against minor wear over the time I have it. I will say however, this is a bulky screen protector. It stands high up from the actual glass. This is only a secondary/work device so it does not bother me as much as if it was my main phone.

Genuinely an excellent product. There are some complaints I read about a lot of plastic and stuff in the box, which is kind of true, but at the same time it's clear that Spigen has put a lot of effort into making the user installation as easy and fool proof as possible. And it is really easy to do it right and have a perfect install. The screen protector also does exactly what it is supposed to. I've dropped my phone a fair few times, including onto gravel. My screen protector was REALLY trashed after a few months (my fault, not theirs), and when the damage finally got too bad for me to ignore I used the other protector in the kit. When I pulled the trashed protector off the phone, you genuinely couldn't tell what the phone had been through. No complaints, excellent product. I also really appreciate that there isn't a hole punch out for the front camera, and it's just a solid sheet of glass. Those hole punches (in my experience) are easy to misalign, and get filled with so much gunk that is really hard to clear out. Having the protector go over the in screen camera is a lot nicer and batter looking (and I have noticed no impact to image quality).

When I originally got it and saw that it came with two, I thought that was kind of nice, but ultimately not necessary. I labeled the box to indicate there was an extra and put it away for use in the very distant future. Well, wouldn't you know it, I dropped my phone and it landed directly on a little keychain that I keep tethered to it... Maybe not the best place for a keychain, but hindsight and all that. When I saw the damage done, all I could do was hope that it was just screen protector damage, and that the phone was still okay, but I'm going to be honest, I expected the screen to need replacement. This was not a small crack. To my shock, the damage was limited to the screen protector, and better- I already had a replacement on hand. I am now typing this review on the phone that I dropped less than an hour ago with no visible damage to the phone, and a perfectly good screen protector reapplied. Not only that, but every step of this, from initial installation to replacement, was easy. It never lifted while it was installed, so I was worried that removing the cracked screen protector would be difficult, but once I started lifting at a corner it started pulling away cleanly. Additionally, the adhesive layer did a great job of keeping all of the cracked bits together, preventing a mess of glass shards as I lifted it off of my phone. Other reviewers have talked about how easy the installation is and I agree wholeheartedly so I won't go in to that here. Suffice it to say it took about 15 minutes to find my replacement screen protector, remove the broken one, and get the new one installed. Screen protectors do not make phones impervious to damage, they just take the damage that would have gone to the extremely expensive glass screen. This screen protector did exactly that. It took all the damage, and my phone is still pristine. I will be buying another set of screen protectors so that next time I do something inadvisable, I will have a new piece of sacrificial glass ready and waiting for installation. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has ever dropped their phone on accident. It will happen again. When it does, would you rather replace the screen protector? Or the whole screen? Ease of installation: Super easy - both times Screen protection: You can see in my pictures how bad the damage was. Not a scratch on my screen. That's some fantastic protection.

Did what it was supposed to do but it still broke

Es el mejor cristal templado que he tenido. Instalarlo es fácil y rápido y el cristal es realmente duro contra arañazos (le he dado con el cuter y con las llaves y ni un rasguño). No sé qué película tiene pero repele polvo y líquido, sorprendente. Contra caídas, sí, se agrieta, pero no llega a la pantalla. Ya es el segundo par que compro y me parecen los mejores. Estaría guay que sacar este mismo par pero con una película antiespía. Son caros, sí, pero merecen la pena

It's extremely easy to install. Doesn't leave any bubble if you clean your screen thoroughly. The tray fits with the edges effortlessly.

The only thing this applicator helps with it positioning the protector, but it increases the likelihood of dust getting under which makes the whole thing pointless. Spent over twenty quid to get two of these protectors and both ended up looking terrible with trapped dust underneath and had to be taken off again, leaving me with no screen protector, twenty quid out of pocket, and contributing much more plastic waste than had I just bought the much cheaper screen protectors I'm used to.

Seriously the best screen protector kit I've tried to date. No hazzle, no bubbles. Love it!

Don't waste your time with the other "value packs" of tempered glass screen protectors; yes, they're cheaper, but they won't install properly and they'll cause touch sensitivity issues, whereas this kit works exactly as intended. This is the first time in all my years of phone ownership that I have actually managed to install my own screen protector correctly with no air bubbles or stray dust bits. I know that these things are foolproof because I am a fool and yet here I am looking at my phone with its perfectly pristine protector. Update ~5 months later: still works like a charm! The tiny gap between my phone's case and the edge of the screen protector is a bit of a dust magnet but that's a small price to pay. Highly recommended.
