2 Pack Planer Drive Belt 429962-08 Replacement for DeWalt DW734 Planer - 9 Ribs

I'm gonna update this if the belt wears out fast like others have claimed.I tried the boiling water soak, but I don't think it did anything.The trick to getting this on i used, other than needing to have some muscle and room for leverage, was first setting it on thr smaller black gear(?). Then i took some thick sash cord and strung it through the belt, then pull down as hard as you can manage, while simultaneously taking a long screwdriver/whatever on the top of the bigger gear and leveraging it on.Once you get a couple of the ribs on, get that screwdriver leverage going, and try to rotate the gears back and forth until it pops on. Had to do that a few times to get the final ribs on

Very difficult to install but that is just the way the planer is made. Once installed, they drive the knives as well as the original.

These worked perfectly for my dewalt planer! They are excellent replacement belts. They are difficult to install but all belts tend to be difficult due to the need for the tension.
