Grinding stopped functioning on day 2. I loved it when it was working. Great idea executed carelessly. Found a Fix: Ok, this is a great machine when it is working, but the hole where the beans enter the grinder is too small, so when you are using a dark roast beans, it can get stuck and no beans enter the grinding compartment. The fix is that remove the scale cover, remove the water reservoir, then flip it upside down and spank it like crazy. You have to angle it right so all the beans previous entered in to the grinder also comes out. After you removed all the beans, try again and it will work. I am performing this once at least every two days. My wife is upset about it but I can't give up because it brews great coffee. So, my recommendation is skip on this version and get the next version if they fix the grinder issue. It will be also very nice if I can have more than 3 pre-programmed brewing assigned to the dial. Right now, it only supports A, B, C, but I think they can easily make the change to do D, E, F by dialing the knob.

Works wonderfully when you want a single cup of coffee, brewing a cup exactly like you want through its presets (though I actually just use the RFID cards and then change it to the respective setting for the coffee beans I'm pouring in). The scale works pretty well, which I've tested against some reference weights, and the grinder actually works so well that I can use it for espresso in my Gaggia Classic, too. It's also a great looking device, which I have front and center on my counter, and my guests have been wowed by the coffee and the fun operation of the machine, too. My only notes are that the water tank has a pitiful capacity, which only has enough for 3 brews and has a very small opening for pouring in water, and the hopper can get stuck if you have some particularly large beans, which can be a pain to clean out.

I love it. Keurig forces you to enjoy dirt coffee while xBloom gives you a choice to enjoy good coffee. Doing a manual v60 brew is definitely better but this does a decent job. I placed this item on my work/office desk at home and I’m loving it.
