Traxxas Slash 2WD KIT BL-2S HD

A great kit for everyone, old and new to the hobby, the manual is great, really detailed, the car is fantastic, fast on the track, durable and easy to work on, plenty of aftermarket support, the brushless motor is fast and never overheats but very aware that it has many holes for air flow that can let dust and small rocks get stuck in the motor if you run in very dry conditions (like uploaded photo) solved by taping the holes, the motor runs hotter but still not enough for it to overheat, personally I would have prefer it to come with a painted body since my artistic skills are not that great, luckily I found someone who paints body shells at a good price. I really love how this Short course drives, and jumps, maybe it is not the most stable but watching the suspension move and it jumping and landing is great, also very durable, haven’t broke any parts in the last 6 months of use

Came with an entry level TQ radio and reciever that's great for bashing. The kit wasn't missing any parts. Plenty of punch and speed the way it came (21/83) 30-35mph. I'm planning on setting this up for Mud Boss class racing. The only things that'll need to be upgraded will be the body, gearing and transmitter/reciever to be really competitive. Mostly out of the box, I'm only a few tenths slower than the guys that have been racing for years by just changing the gearing (23/86).. and that's without the higher downforce body or a transmitter with settable end points. 20+ battery packs and I haven't broken anything yet. Definitely worth the $$ spent.

Great kit to learn and get into the hobby.

Quality car and Quality kit. I really like RC kits. This is a great kit especially for people just getting started in kits. Body already cut and everything you need is in the box other then battery. Perfect for a cold weekend project. My only gripe. Make more kits Traxxas!

I ordered this for my grandson for Christmas and was very disappointed with it. It had parts missing and the front end did not go together like the instructions said. We have purchased 4 others Traxxas vehicles and never had any problems. I put in to have it returned, but in order to get a refund it can not have any parts put together or anything missing. This is kind of stupid since, how are you supposed to tell if all the parts ate there or if it all fits together if you don't try to put it together ?? Very disappointed customer !!
